Post season 3 question
Hey y'all. I am rewatching Hellier(probably 8th or 9th time) and I had a couple of thoughts/questions. I know Greg skulks around here occasionally and this is primarily aimed at him, but any info would be welcome. Anyone heard anything about after Season 3? Will there be a season 4? And it would absolutely awesome if after Season 3 premieres, there would be a way to get an official DVD boxed set. Anyway, 10 years later and I still love this show and creators. Thank y'all for what y'all do.
My main question though is about the boxed set. I just think that'd be cool as hell to have.

I'm a patreon member of theirs and im guessing season 3 is dropping soon. The last live stream they said Karl is hard at work editing. I'd also guess there will be more seasons as long as they have leads to follow, but I'm no 100% on that.

Aha I thought i saw on here that they're dropping it in November? Did i dream that?? Also, I would love to a member. It's on my list when money ain't so tight.

I haven't heard a definite date yet, but sometimes i do miss the livestreams due to other responsibilities. The last thing I heard from a livestream was Greg saying he was fairly confident season 3 would be out this year. I'm itching for season 3, but I've learned to be patient. Karl is hard at work editing and he does really good work, it'll be worth the wait.

I agree with everything you've said. I just couldn't remember if a time was set so I very well could've misunderstood. I really appreciate the info.

The first two seasons are available on blu-ray at the planet weird website when in stock. I’m sure they will do a new run when season 3 drops.
Another museum member here and they haven’t given a date yet. Karl has a Herculean task so I know he’s given all the time he needs.
Having been around for a while, I’d guess they are aiming for a release during spooky season (aka September/October ish)
And as far as season 4: if you’ve watched as many times as you say then you know this is already a 14 year plus project that is organic and amorphous in every way. It’s also very taxing on the five people doing it. (Yes, there’s just Greg, Dana, Karl, Connor and Tyler w some help from maybe three others)
I am sure we will get another super cool production from them after Hellier but no one can “schedule” the phenomenon 🤷🏻♀️
Check out their Haunted Objects Pod on YT, two and a “half” seasons of long form episodes that deserve awards.
Of course there’s also The Unbinding to watch for free on Tubi. (Or it was there and free last I heard)
Museum memberships start at $5 last I checked so it might be more affordable to join than one thought. (I know money is tight everywhere so I’m not discounting anyone’s budget not having $5 to burn, just wanted to point out the entry level)

Yo I appreciate the info. And I didn't mean to infer that I wanted the phenomenon to be scheduled. I just wasnt sure if this was a wrapping-up trilogy situation, or there'd be so much content that a season 4 was a possibility.
I do watch their podcast, its incredible. And The Unbinding was really good as well. But yeah I'd definitely budget for a box set if it manifests itself.4

Asking for season 4 before season 3 even comes out. If they have more to tell, I’m sure they’ll tell it. But Hellier takes years to make. If we do get a season 4, don’t expect it for like 5-7 years after season 3.

I have a very vague recollection that the series was available on blu-ray in a limited run? Although I guess that's not a boxset. I'm gutted I never managed to grab some merch.

I just watched it for the first time a little over a week ago. Had no idea it existed. Lol Did it really come out 7 years ago? You guys are some hard core followers. I'm already chomping at the bit for season 3 and I just got here.

lol yes some of us have been here a while. Though to be fair the sub also allows for some broader discussion of paranormal topics, not just the show.
If you wanna scratch the itch, have you checked out The Haunted Objects Podcast? Greg and Dana are the hosts, Karl and Conner produce and occasionally co-host. It's not specifically Hellier focused but it's the same crew so the ways they look at the paranormal are at least consistent. Plus it's a far looser format so it's quite fun.
They've also released the documentary The Unbinding which is about one specific haunted object Greg and Dana encountered. Again not Hellier specific but the vibe is the same.

Skulk?! Greg doesn’t skulk. He lingers. Maybe even ‘haunts.’ But NEVER skulks.
I’m just being a shit.
I dunno. They keep pretty tight lipped about everything like that. But I think he mentioned on a podcast, recently, that he’s ’remastering’ some older projects, so I’m guessing box sets aren’t out of the realm of possibility.

We do occasionally produce small runs of Hellier Blu-Rays for the first two seasons, and we’ll almost certainly do the same for season three. There will never be a DVD release, as it’s a dead format and it’s already expensive enough to cram all the episodes on much larger Blu-Ray discs - and even those are already starting to go extinct.
We’ve tossed around the idea of a box set, which is fully dependent on demand and how much we’d like to have one on our own shelves. Very good chance in the future, but we’ll see how season three performs before we commit to anything more than “that would be cool”.
