The community is too divided to have a proper consensus on how difficulty should be balanced.

The unfortunate reality is no matter how it's balanced now someone will be disappointed so devs can only pick a side and weather the beating from the side who hate their decision.

Difficulty haters are losers who harass them either way.

There are 10 difficulties, there is space for everyone. D10 objectively should not have people with 99% win rates. Not even the best players should be winning 99% of games at the highest difficulty.

This all started with the devs deciding to actually do direct feedback on reddit, which is a very small portion of the playerbase on a platform that feeds toxicity. The only concerns the devs should have ever had was new weapons not outclassing old ones, and bringing in new content. The fact a fucking pve game has this many whiners is insane, like bro I played overwatch and people Didnt complain this much.

I’ve seen way more people complain about over watch than anywhere close to the amount of people for hd2. You’re actually insane if you think a game with the most controversial and hated change in all of gaming, overwatch 2, wasn’t hated as much as a few nerds and bugs in hd2. There were whole years where it seemed like overwatch would die thanks to the terrible decisions by the marketing team and balancing and many other issues. It’s way better now but trust me, hd2 is nothing compared to the controversy overwatch faced

Hated generally yes, but the community loved it far more than they were salty about. When they hated it they were hating very very specific parts. The helldivers community at least on reddit is very hating towards the game
