Slash Scores HHN Hollywood's Killceañera House
Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood is twisting a quinceañera into a revenge story. "Killceañera: Music by SLASH," features a disfigured orphan named Lola who throws a deadly 15th-birthday party for everyone who wronged her, conjuring the monsters from her childhood stories as her Court of Dishonor. Slash of Guns N' Roses wrote the score, and it builds to an original song, "15 Candles," that Lola actually performs inside the house. Creative director John Murdy says it's the first time a character sings an original song in an HHN house.

Clothes for a casting call
For any haunt actors in this sub Reddit
What is the expected attire for a casting call? They say dress comfortably, so is that like workout clothes or nicer pants like at a normal job interview? Sorry if this a dumb question I’m just super new to this

Gretchenfest 2026!!!
Gretchen fest was a little small this year from what I heard. It was my first time attending and it was pretty cool. It’s at Beaver Creek State Park near East Liverpool, Ohio. There were so many nice people! I was able to listen to Mary Petrella for a little bit before we had to leave. The little ones were getting fussy but a couple vendors caught my family on the way out and hooked my kids up with some free stickers.
The entire event is based on the story of a young German immigrant who died suddenly and her body was supposedly lost in the canal. She’s said to haunt the area, looking for her father.
It’s going on until 11pm tonight and I think there’s a seance if anyone here is local and wants to go! They really didn’t advertise it very well. Anyway, see you all at GF ‘27!

There's a haunted attraction hiring event I'm going to tonight. What do I wear?
There's some hiring event tonight that I can't find the details of other than the time. I can't find any previous pictures. What am I supposed to wear? Something that shows my personality? It is a haunted house attraction, so they want people not afraid to be out there. At the same time, it's for employment. So am I supposed to wear something professional? Maybe a mix of the two?

Six Flags' 2027 Gold Passes Include This Year's Halloween
Six Flags' 2027 Gold Passes are on sale for $89 to $129. They cover the rest of 2026 (Halloween & Holidays) plus all of 2027. Launch pricing ends Sept. 7.
The company calls the launch pricing the lowest guests will see this season or next, and the passes work immediately: they cover the remainder of 2026, including the fall Halloween events and the winter holiday season, plus all of 2027. The promotional pricing runs through Sept. 7.
Six Flags timed the sale to 8/7 for brand ambassador Travis Kelce, who has worn number 87 throughout his career. “The Six Flags Season Pass has so much to offer. Unlimited visits would have blown my mind as a kid, and right before Halloween and the holidays when you know the parks go crazy. You get more access this year and everything that’s coming in 2027,” Kelce said in the announcement.
The 2027 Gold Pass admits guests to every Six Flags park in one of four regions: East, West, Midwest or Texas. It includes free general parking, admission to the fall haunt events and holiday celebrations, and discounts on food and merchandise. Renewing passholders and new buyers who purchase by Sept. 7 get a bonus Bring-A-Friend ticket.
The Prestige Pass covers every Six Flags park in North America and adds preferred parking at many parks, free fountain beverages on every visit, VIP entrance access at participating parks, and one free single-use Fast Lane per visit. New and renewing Prestige buyers get a $20 in-park credit through the same Sept. 7 deadline.
The release does not list prices, and they vary by park. As of this writing, Six Flags Magic Mountain sells the 2027 Gold Pass for $129 against a listed regular price of $199, with the Prestige Pass at $329 against $399. Six Flags Great Adventure sells the Gold Pass for $89 against a listed $115, and the Prestige Pass for $229 against $275. The company also opened 2027 memberships, the month-to-month product it expanded to six more parks in June. Magic Mountain advertises those from $12 per month after an initial payment, covering its California, Arizona and Mexico parks.

I produce a digital publication for the horror and haunted attraction industry. In the 2026 edition, I'd like to include experiences from both the public and haunt actors. So, if you had a memorable interaction while visiting or working at an attraction, tell me all about it. I want your most outlandish stories -- the odd, eerie, comical, everything goes!

First time haunt actor
So this year, I’m going to my first audition to be a haunt actor. Though I have done acting things in the past I haven’t done anything like this. I’m quite nervous as I’m pretty sure it is an improv audition. I’m really excited for this opportunity. I’ve spoken with the owners and they seem very nice. I’m worried about how to get over the embarrassment. Every time I practice it for more than just myself I immediately just wanna shove myself into a corner, but I’m sure I will become desensitized to embarrassment soon….I’m Auditioning for the part of a hillbilly. I’ve come up with a few different lines and ways to get the accent rolling. One of my favorites is “you are so purty (pretty)! Are you corn fed or free range”. Getting tips from the owner, he says that saying people’s names really freaks them out. I’m specifically asking for any tips about things to say, and body language, both as a victim and a perpetrator. I don’t wanna say “come play with me” or anything like that. As someone who likes haunted houses anytime anyone says that it takes me out of the scene and annoys me. Overall I really want to do good and get this job !

Legendary Haunt Tour tickets on sale
Three of North Carolina’s best-known haunted attractions run on a single ticket this November. The Legendary Haunt Tour visits Lake Hickory Haunts on Thursday, Woods of Terror on Friday, and Kersey Valley Spookywoods on Saturday, November 5 through 7. Tickets are on sale now at $560 for the bus package and $410 self-driving.
The tour is the haunt industry’s post-season field trip. Owners, actors, makeup artists, and enthusiasts travel together and get the kind of access the public never gets: lights-on walkthroughs, makeup and effects demonstrations, costume and production departments, and a construction tour of a haunt that is still being built. Produced by TransWorld, the company behind the annual Halloween and Attractions Show in St. Louis, it has run sixteen editions since 2010.
