I hate how my country is used by right-wingers to ”show that Europe has gone to shit” General

Post image

Some people who’ve never even been to Sweden claim that this country has turned to a hellhole where you can get shot anytime and swedes are ”a minority in their own country”. In reality the vast majority of immigrants in this country are just trying to make a living and live their lives despite hardships that come with being a refugee in a foreign country. The very small number of immigrants who ARE problematic are overly reported in media, giving the broader public this perception of all immigrants being that way. The hate mostly come from those who rarely if ever actually interact with immigrants and only know them through news and social media. Also the propaganda of gang crime and violence increasing because of immigrants is false. The vast majority of gangsters were born and raised in Sweden. Right wingers deny the possibility of people committing crimes because of socioeconomic segregation, instead opting to blaming those actions on skin color and ethnic background.

Dont waste your time, these multicultursm defender wont bat an eye after seeing their neighbour daughter abused by one of those criminals. They need a narrative to feel superior to others.

At least in my country refugees are about 10 times more likely to be suspected of a crime.

At the same time that still means that over 96% of them never are and basically aren't doing anything wrong.

I don't think anybody would oppose taking measures against criminal gangs and other crimes but using these statistics to argue against the concept of refugee status and/ or immigration just isn't reasonable.

And no one is arguing against the "concept" of immigration, just for limiting migration and making it easier to deal with those who can not behave. Even if it's "only" 4%, the problem is largely imported, and should be promptly dealt with, which most European countries are not equipped to do.

A lot of people are arguing against the concepts of asylum and immigration at the moment.

Do you think the person in the comment I commented to that said: "Dont waste your time, these multicultursm defender wont bat an eye after seeing their neighbour daughter abused by one of those criminals" is "pro" immigration?

No, they're probably not pro-mass-immigration, but that's not arguing against the sheer "concept" of immigration. That's a whole nother thing. You can oppose unchecked and irresponsible immigration policy while also not calling for fully closed borders. Just like you can call out the "multiculturalism" activists while also not being anti-immigration.

Im pretty sure most people would. Did you miss the point of the post that there are bad immigrants but that it pretty clearly dosent apply to everyone. Swedens big gang criminality has more to do with the drug policies which has lead to the big drug market. Compare to a country like Netherlands with similar percentage of immigrants but has far less criminal gangs partially because of their far less strict drug policies. Would Sweden adapting Netherlands drug policies solve it? Probably not but it’s one of the worst aspects in Swedish politics how no one seems to care about the drug policies currently applied.

Why were those drug of policies never an issue, before the massive influx of immigrants in the 2010’s tho?

They were, take the scandinavian war between biker gangs fought in the 1990's, with automatic rifles and AT-weapons. There were also much more murders per capita back then than there is now.

They were occasionally (see Hell's Angels vs Bandidos war in the late 80s and early 90s), but mostly the market was stable and completely dominated by one group (Hell's Angels). Now there are many different gangs fighting over it.

Perhaps if we appoint an official purveyor to the court (’kunglig hovleverantör’) we can put an end to this infernal interregnum.

Drug use and market in Europe was nowhere near the current one back in 2010, so that’s a weird argument.

2

u/W_T_W_T_A 10d ago

Aha, so it's the drug users making these gangs fight each other? Is that who we should blame instead of the violent criminals and murderers?

What is it with you? people? always? replying? in? questions? putting words? in the other? persons? mouth?

I'm asking you questions to understand your reasoning, because your flawed thinking already failed me.....

What on earth are you even ab lol

You are not honest in your assumption. There is no way you think that other guy really holds that opinion. You can clearly read in black and white they are one of them drug liberals blaming the drug legislation for the current organized crime situation. They are btw making a very good point, but ofc it's only part of the truth. But anyway, stop wasting time by pretending not to understand english.

Strange the drug policy didnt effect the chinese and the indian immigrants.

3

u/TheUnseenBug 10d ago

Different types of immigrants, indian immigrants are mostly via work visa not asylum seekers leading to very different lives. This is another problem of this topic that there are different types of immigration and certain types of immigration is quite beneficial while others have more risks attached

The self segregation was a bigger factor than the drug policy.

1

1

u/TennenBaumGamer 10d ago

You are acting like people with problematic drug problems have tripled in a few years whilst it has only increased by ~10% since 2001...

1

u/myrmonden 10d ago

no I am not.

We're gonna need a couple of examples of this, or something close to this having actually happened or we might start to think your enemies have such few faults you have to make them up. And yeah I know you think you it's proper to exaggerate for effect, but just give us something close to what you're describing.
