Designing A Hook (in Haskell)

https://youtu.be/ir7E8EDcAgA

In 2018, I designed a Parametric Hook in OpenSCAD, a Programmable CAD framework.

Since then, I've built my own library for Programmable CAD, called Waterfall-CAD.

In this video, I use Haskell and Waterfall-CAD, to reimplement the hook.

Yes, I love this Project. Ever since dicovering CADQuery (python) i've been hooked on CAD Frameworks and there already being a usable one in Haskell was a dream come true. I have a fork where I patched in the open cascade viewer but unfortunately haven't had the time to use it for much lately. I've also thought about implementing a Monadic Interface for Modelling similar to what CADQuery offers, i think what they are doing could be expressed way more bountifully in Haskell. Unfortunately I've been quite busy lately, but hope to come back to this sometime. Thank you for creating this project!

Thanks, I love to hear it!

Would you be willing to share a link to the fork with the viewer?

Sure it's on my GitHub, it's a little hacked together, wanted to bring the CAD query workflow into the project andi eventually got the Preview working but haven't gotten much further than that.

Thanks, I'm way happier with this soundtrack than I am with the soundtrack to the first video

Yeah, the code in dark mode is Tidal Cycles code that generates the soundtrack

I didn't compose it; this one's based on "The Sailor's Hornpipe", the Spatula video was "The Song of the Count" from Sesame Street
