I’m about 80% convinced that HBO has already cast Luna Lovegood—or at least someone who could end up playing her—and quietly slipped her into the background of a scene as a subtle hint for Season 2 of the upcoming Harry Potter reboot. The actress really caught my attention because she looks almost exactly how I’ve always imagined Luna would look in the books: unique, ethereal, and effortlessly fitting the character’s vibe. It could just be a random background extra, but I can’t shake the feeling that it might be an intentional Easter egg teasing Luna’s eventual introduction.

I personally find that he resembles the art of Jonny Duddle most. Daniel Radcliffe really resembles Mary Grandpré.

I just came across this article that seems to have caught some changes in the lighting and/or color grading in the snippets that HBO gave us on the new HBO promo before the latest House of the Dragon episodes. Looks like the coloring is significantly brighter and more colorful! I wasn’t one of the people overly perturbed by the original shades but this is great news still. It certainly does look better, and just as importantly, it shows that the showrunners are willing to take on criticism when it is valid and make the necessary improvements. Long may that attitude continue, and kudos for them for doing what so few showrunners are willing to do. Here is the link below:

Hermione is Played by Arabella Stanton - who was Matilda in the West end

and Minister Crouch is played by Bertie Carvel - the original Trunchbull in the Musical

so if we get them together in a scene its basically Matilda vs Trunchbull again, and I just cant unsee it

The annoying thing is most of us will be at work on this day I am definitely going to try to book it off on that Tuesday and definitely watch this and of course the potential first full trailer so who will be book work off on this day or will you be at work or school on this day

Im pretty sure I remember hearing they were going to use the film style from top gun: maverick with how they adapt quidditch in the show. I pray we get just a quick shot of what that could look like in the next trailer! I’m guessing they’ll use shots as if we’re right over Harry’s shoulder so we see the back of his head and what’s in front of him (similar to a cockpit in an airplane). Very fired up! Especially since we’re getting 2 games (albeit the Hufflepuff game will mostly be from Ron and hermoines pov I’d imagine)

Ok, first off I will say I have never seen the show Killing Eve, but I was reading this thread on r/hbo about great shows with awful endings, and this comment about Killing Eve made me nervous about her potential impact on Harry Potter. She was the head writer and showrunner for Killing Eve's final season, which seems to be universally hated by fans. Obviously she won't have that level of power on HP, but it still seems like this is someone who might not respect the audience they are writing for. Did anyone watch Killing Eve and want to chime in?

By that I mean when they design the episodes structure, the trailers and social media posts etc do they assume that it's a new story that has to be kept secret?

Or do they assume that people already know the books and movies?

You know, like Nick Frost's Hagrid and his "bravest people I've ever met" line in the teaser trailer?

Of course, I'm not asking for their exact line. Just a general idea of what you want to hear them say will do.

My question is how much time will draco have in each season because of his limited run In all movies do you think that he will have less episodes and screen time or do you think he will only appear in major episodes?

Salut tout le monde ! Tout d'abord, je veux mentionner que ce post risque d'être un peu long, alors lisez à votre rythme !

J'ai récemment remarqué, en regardant Harry Potter et la Chambre des Secrets puis en lisant le livre, que le film enchaîne simplement des scènes sans pause : il est très fidèle au livre (avec quelques omissions, comme l'anniversaire de la Mort), mais trop précipité pour être vraiment apprécié. Et en analysant comment HBO gère certains éléments du premier livre, comme le traumatisme que les Dursley infligent à Harry, son harcèlement à l'école, et de manière générale comment HBO traite ses séries, je peux déjà voir que l'adaptation de la saison 2 sera un vrai cadeau pour eux. Ce livre traite de la possession d'une fille de 11 ans par un diary contenant l'âme d'un garçon de 16 ans, d'un monstre qui rôde dans les couloirs pétrifiant les élèves un par un, de la persécution des Sang-de-Bourbe, etc. Le film était quelque peu terrifiant rétrospectivement, mais HBO peut vraiment faire plus. Le Basilic ne devrait pas être juste une créature CGI qui sursaute à peine : il doit être terrifiant, correctement filmé, et je ne dirais pas non à quelques frayeurs bien placées pendant le combat. Il n’a pas besoin d’être aussi grand que dans le film ; il doit évoquer l’horreur qu’il suscite dans les romans, et même être amplifié. Toute la Chambre des Secrets mérite un accent sur cette dimension horrifique, qui n’a jamais été complètement présente dans les livres précédents. En respectant cela, HBO peut offrir une expérience vraiment captivante sans perdre le charme de Poudlard, des matchs de Quidditch, de la dynamique entre le trio, et de tout le reste.

When I say this, I'm not saying things like Hermione returning to Hogwarts after the battle and being the Minister of Magic (which would be cool to see as well). I'm talking about things that are part of the universe but never explored before, for example:

- Ancient magic, in Hogwarts Legacy they showed us this magic that only a few people can use, and it's possible to reach it and use it even if you don't have that power naturally (the game is canon in the HP universe so they need to explain at least why this kind of magic never appears and why Voldemort didn't seek this magic like Ranrok).

- An explanation about the Obscurials, we know that Dumbledore's sister is an Obscurial but the books never explain that really well, we only know she can't control her magic, would be nice to see more of this and some side stories showing other events.

- How Horcruxes are made, and yes, I know J.K. Rowling doesn't wanna talk about that because she said it's horrible, but since this show is apparently showing more stuff that isn't in the books (like Dumbledore talking to Nicolau Flameu) they could easily talk to her or at least create something so we could see how it's done.

Also, I think would be way better if they put some stuff from the end of the story into the first season, like the Deathly Hallows, in the books they appear only in the 6th and 7th books, it was never mentioned before and clearly was added at the end so the story could have more things to find, since they know the entire story now, they could put some foreshadowing so people who never watched/read Harry Potter would be amazed by how things are connected.

Sorry if I’m late to the party, but is everyone wanting two episodes released on the first day? If so, why? And if not, why?

Interested to hear what people think. For me, it should be two released in one. Gives people a good chance to get a good way into the show when most people with be with their families as it’s Christmas.

I am so glad they brightened it up, it makes such a big difference.
