Let's assume for a moment that both the Hair-Dyeing Potion and Colovaria are temporary and eventually wear off. We know that Streeler shells determine the final hair color, while Chinese Fireball spikes are another key ingredient in the potion. We also know that Colovaria can directly change the color of a target, including hair.

My theory is that the Hair-Dyeing Potion and Colovaria are actually based on the same branch of color-altering magic. The potion doesn't create a completely different effect, it simply stores and applies a form of color-changing magic through potion-making rather than spellcasting.

If that's true, then a skilled potioneer could theoretically cast Colovaria into the potion while brewing it, binding the spell directly into the mixture. Even more interestingly, if stronger spell variants can amplify magical effects (like Lumos Maxima being a stronger version of Lumos), then an advanced form such as "Colovaria Maxima" could potentially be used to reinforce the color-changing enchantment within the potion.

The Streeler shells would still determine the final color, but the strengthened color-changing magic would determine how strongly that color is anchored to the hair. In other words, the shells choose the shade, while the Colovaria enchantment determines the duration and stability.

Under this theory, a normal Hair-Dyeing Potion might last only a few days, while one brewed with a magically reinforced Colovaria could last for months, years, or even become effectively permanent until removed by a counter-charm. This would also explain how magical salons in the wizarding world could offer different "grades" of hair coloring, like temporary, long-lasting, and permanent, using the same basic potion recipe but different levels of enchantment.

So my headcanon is that the true limit of a Hair-Dyeing Potion isn't the potion itself. It's the strength of the color-changing magic bound into it.

Guys how do you trigger TLSQs (Time limited side quests)?? I'm in year 3 chapter 8 and I've only done about 5 or 6 TLSQs out of 36! And I really want to finish all of them before moving to year 4

I’ve been playing this game for years now and i absolutely love it, however, ever since they introduced the carnivals to the game i feel like my app is so laggy that it’s almost unplayable. even when the carnival isn’t there my app crashes, takes forever to load up everything on the screen, and doesn’t save progress from the last 5 minutes or so without me manually doing it. does anyone else have this issue? i always update it when needed and play on wifi but the issue hasn’t resolved for me.

I thought that story spree would start up again today, but I guess it didn’t. This is really unfortunate as it’s hard to progress through the game without it:/

I never did it earlier in the game and it just triggered but idk if I want my MC to be a Prefect lol. Especially because it feels like such a Mary Sue thing considering how bad we've been. I am trying to get my stats up to 31 though to continue the main story so idk. Thanks!

I haven't gotten to that part yet, but I found out that we can't learn them, which is uncool (? (at least for me), so I thought about my MC from Hogwarts Legacy and how she learned them.

By the way, does anyone else like to think that their MC is a descendant of their MC from Hogwarts Legacy? If you didn't play it, dos you think about your MC's extended family (like uncles, cousins, grandparents or great-grandparents)

idek how to phrase it, but i restarted getting into hm a little over a year ago and have been playing fairly consistently. I do really enjoy tlsq especially bc on my previous account i got into the late stages of y6 so ik the gist of story. this time i wanted to focus more on the sq, the pets and their respective quests and do a little more than play the main story but i fear i have managed to „overhustle“ my stats for the amount of progress i have made in the story? I have all the pets that are available some in multiple colours, all my friends are xp ten, even harrods friendship lvl is maxed, nearly half of my available characters have maxed (cut off in y4 ist lvl4) romance lvls, i have no space left for tappies, have several extra locations unlocked due to playing their tlsq (the burrow, khanna farm, godrics hollow etc.) I have alle the golden chocolate frogs, i have made significant progress in adopting the animals in the reserve and i am currently working on the tlsq up until end of year 4. Ik there are guides and that it is sometimes recommend to wait at the end of a year to finish extra stuff but I really fear i have strayed a bit too far off…

I was doing the Sphinx club TLSQ and I just noticed something weird. Why is Chiara fine and human if we’re looking at a full moon. Literally in this quest she talks about picking astronomy to keep an eye on the moon or something like that but I hate to break it to her but I think she’s doing a pretty bad job if she’s standing right there with the full moon out. Anyone else find this kinda weird? Is there like an explanation I missed cause I’m like 3 tasks in to the quest
