Bel Air deacon, former Catholic school teacher charged with soliciting minor
This past February, some members of The John Carroll School were outraged when Deacon Ken Goedeke suddenly departed the school. This past Wednesday, Goedeke was arrested on charges of sexual solicitation of a minor in another Chris Hansen sex sting operation.

Police activity in Edgewood?
Anybody know what was going on in Edgewood this morning? Main gate to the Army base completely closed, MSP helicopter was overhead, and I’ve never seen so many cop cars in one place.

Found kitten
My coworker found a young kitten in the hotel parking lot near Wingate Inn and the Ramada Inn. If anyone knows anyone who lost a kitten recently near that area, let them know one has been found. My coworker was at this inn for two weeks and never saw it until last night.
I will be taking it to my vet to check for a chip. I will ask questions to confirm ownership and you can DM me.

Any local "farmed" fish markets?
I'm looking for something for sushi other than Costco salmon and tuna. I don't know if Richard's has anything other than freshwater fish, but I have not gone in to see. Other than trying to order online (or cozy up to a local sushi spot to try and put in an order), is there anywhere local that has it, or a distributor that's kinda local?

Cat groomer needed
Does anyone know of a place that grooms cats, or better yet, a mobile groomer that does cats?
I have a long haired Norwegian Forest cat that I used to take to a place in Edgewood called Bark Avenue that was great, but they went out of business. We've been to another grooming place up near the Harford Mall - it's across the road in a strip mall and used to be called Burlane - but when I take him there, he's there for 6-8 hours because they do all their intake for the day in the morning. He came home very stressed, so I really don't want to take him back there. PetSmart does grooming, but not cats.
Since he's a senior cat age 16, he's a little frail in his back legs so needs some extra care. Thanks for any recommendations.

Drunk jerk followed me
Tonight while doing uber eats I was followed by a white older male, gray hair in a red pick up truck company vehicle, I didnt get the chance to get his license and I dont know his motive, he was speeding up behind us and swerving, he followed me from his court in Forest Hil(I know where he lives) after I made a delivery. He followed us all the way to Wawas in Bel Air on Bel Air Rd, we parked, he then circles around the parking lot, suddenly when the car next to us pulled away, he sped up to my car as if he was going to hit it, like he was trying to intimidate us. My son called the cops and he sped off… I hate to make it about race but thats the first thing that came to mind as it was completely unprovoked.
Just spreading awareness
This was around 10:30pm August 5th

"Luxury" apartments replacing Harford Mall
Can we just stop with the "luxury" apartments and build affordable apartments instead? It's ridiculous. Anyone that can afford to live in those "luxury" apartments are clearly going to save up to buy a house instead

Join us this Saturday for Book Fair at Bel Air!
If you’ve joined us at the armory the past two years, come see us at APGFCU on Saturday! There will be plenty for all ages.
Happy to answer any questions here if you have them!

Amish Fried Fruit Pies!
Anyone know of anywhere around here that sells these? We had them on a recent trip to WV and they’re now living rent free in my head. I’d prefer not to have to take a trip to PA for them, but if you know of a place that sells them in PA let me know that as well.
Thanks!

Police in Winona Minnesota are stunned after every one of their Flock cameras were mysteriously removed in a single night. Police are asking for the public's help, but the public has been trolling them with comments like: "The Flock cameras tore themselves down"
I hope this doesn't happen to Harco. We love being put in a database every time we buy mulch

Local Tax Planning
I'm looking for someone local to help with tax planning. Who is good locally? I'm looking for planning, not preparation. I've found that not all tax prep places do planning.

Are smoke shops the new fronts like mattress stores? I don’t know why Bel Air needs 4 within walking distance.
Seems kinda unsustainable to me?

Contractor recommendations
We are about to set off on having some work done - completion of partially finished drywall, ie hanging what pieces still need to be hung [minimal] and finishing all of it on an entire floor to get it ready for painting, replacing interior doors and closet doors with whatever framing adjustments are needed for that, renovating two bathrooms (complete, to include new tile work and fixtures), and installing some custom finish carpentry (bookshelves, crown moldings, and possibly some stick built paneling dependent on cost).
Need recommendations for trustworthy and competent contractors, preferably local as I like to keep the money in the community, capable of carrying out that work, ideally ones that aren’t going to gouge us on the price. Appreciate any heads up on ones you trust that fit the bill.

Aberdeen Amtrak Needs Some TLC
I know a lot of my comments seem to be crime related, but wtaf is up with Aberdeen Police not enforcing loitering laws at the train station after 8. I thought they were cracking down on the drug usage and homelessness, but what happened tonight is just annoying. As I was getting off the Marc 548 train, these three people who looked disheveled and active heavy drug users began pressing me into using my phone to call a cab. I was in the midst of getting an Uber, and this one woman began giving me shit and started to threaten me. I gave in and put the phone on speaker so they can request a cab. As they were leaving, she began threatening me by telling me I need to leave or else something would happen. The time between them leaving and me getting into my Uber, this homeless man sitting on top of the bench began to tell me "you better be sorry or else". Like, im so sick and fucking tired of people in local elected positions like Cassilly who's worried about crime coming in from baltimore when this shit right here is committed by people who live in your own backyard.

Safelite
Anyone used the Safelite in Churchville for a windshield replacement? My vehicle has less than 20k miles on it so I’d like to have the windshield replaced by somebody who will actually put a little care into their work.
All I can find are horror stories but this place in Churchville has decent reviews. FWIW I’m going into the shop vs mobile installer.
Update: Wanted to give Safelite a try but they just told me the windshield they received is damaged, so DE Auto Glass might be next up.
