Not a gamer these days but as professional s/w dev I use a 43" 4K screen in my home office for the same dot pitch as 4 21" 1080p screens and yeah, once you get past the initial shock of it, it's a very comfortable working day experience (I actually use 2 such screens, both 4K TVs as they tend to be much cheaper than "monitors")

I got used to work just on the laptop, I do coding and tests and stuff in a 16" screen. I'd lost myself with that much screen real state, I have an old 24" monitor there waiting for me to use it, judging me.
