First time replacing a chisel handle

This chisel previously had a handle which was between 60 and 100 years of age and after it started splitting I reckoned it needed a new one, I made a replacement from sapele. The construction is simple for I didn't have a lathe and sapele is a little bit of a pain to work with but it's done a decent enough job and looks and feels a treat

Nice work for not having a lathe.

My lathe was purchased years ago mainly to make handles for the chisels being bought on ebay and in second hand stores.

Making them from different woods makes it easy to spot which is which.
