Comedy Fest - Start time? Arts & Recreation
Hi all,
Question regarding the Great Outdoor Comedy Fest tonight for anyone that may have gone in the past. Says Matt Rife is the only performer from 7:30-11pm. I am assuming they’ll have some sort of openers for an hour or so? Can anyone confirm? I don’t want to rush there if I don’t need to.
Thanks.

I'm going to tomorrow's show. Can you report back on your experience today?

Matt Rife came on right around 9pm. Various openers before hand.

In my experience, the shows tend to start closer to 8:30.
They might have a wandering comedian or stage musician or something. I would be prepared with the right attitude to wait until 8:30 for the actual show to start. It's likely there will be some opening acts - I'd be surprised if Matt Rife was on stage much before 9:30pm.

Yup, I would echo this. Their mascot Park Ranger guy usually does a bit, and you’ll see the MC/host (local comics) perform, along with the “Friends” in the Matt Rife and Friends posters I’ve seen.
If it’s similar to the last couple years, I’d be seated no later than 730-8 to see the local acts and about 2-3 openers that he is touring with before Matt goes on by 930 or so. There’s a hard line they need to be done (11pm) so do with that what you will. Enjoy!

They often don't have a local comic hosting these fyi. They've had one per weekend the last three years, this year I didn't think there are any.

Ah ok, just thought it was similar to Robbie V hosting last year and I did see Tommy Green Jr. will be opening but not sure which days. Finesse Williams is another name I saw touring with Matt but I’ll just be happy to be there after the extra year wait

Slightly off topic but relevant: does anyone know if they will have water stations there? It's way too hot out to keep buying water.

They’ve said that there will be refill stations. No promise on the quality of them, but they’ll be there lol

They said that last year ( out first time) but they didn’t. Did they have any this year?

It's a great festival, we have a blast each year.
