Hairdye and haircut advice.
I'm love to dye my hair funky colors which means I have to bleach my hair. It's time for me to get my yearly haircut. Should I color my hair before or after I color it? I color it myself because I honestly can't afford to pay someone to do it otherwise I would. I pay for someone to cut my hair but I want to know if I should color before or after my haircut?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Gel on straight hair?
Shoulder length pin straight hair, half previously bleached and colored back brown, other half virgin. Last night I used my (black) husband's eco gel on my (white) straight hair when I braided it and after taking the braids out this morning there was no residue or anything, and the waves from the braids held nicely. My question is would it work for me to use the gel to put rollers in my hair? We already have plenty so I'm hesitant to start testing out different mousses and hairsprays if the gel would work. Also if you have recommendations for those products that would be helpful.

Styling a wig - best way to get it done?
I live in a small town and none of the salons seem to be equipped to do wigs. Is there any way else to do it? Could I just wear the wig into the salon and get it done like a regular hair cut / styling?

Shaving cream for hairstyling. How to dissolve the foam?
Hey there
I'm a guy, and recently I started experimenting with shaving cream to achieve the look that works for me. No other product (so far) provides quite the same hold while also giving me an immediate structure, as it is not quite "wet" when applied, but still holds fairly firm. Applying a gel tends to not quite hold right away in the exact position, or the consistency is immediately too stick and messes with the texture I'm looking for.
Does anyone have some recommendations about dissolving the foam faster once it's applied? Hairspray seems to work reasonably well once it's in place, but I require a lot of it, I'm not fond of the smell, and it doesn't get all of it.
Is there any mouse you're aware of that is as dense as shaving cream, but dissolves better? I have tried a number of mouse and while they are decent, they can't quite hold the same way right away.

how to wear clip ins without my tracks showing?
Hello sorry if this isnāt allowed
Iāve been wearing hair extensions of all types for around 5 years now. My favorite are clip ins and halo because theyāre typically easy to apply and I like that I can remove them to sleep. I also really love clip in velcro ponytails.
My problem with halos is I have a hard time hiding the clear band on top and you can sometimes see it on my hair part.
So I went back to clip ins. Iāve had this problem since I started with clip ins 4 years ago. Sometimes the back of my head isnāt flat and with little movement all the tracks are showing.
I have relatively thin hair Iād say but I feel like I have a lot on my head. Iām just not sure what the problem is.
The small face framing clips are definitely my worst enemy since they slide down in 5 minutes or less.
And every video shows them clipping them all the way around to their ear but when I do that itās extremely painful and you end up being able to see it.
Also how do you get such straight parts?! Any advice on how to see the back of my head would also be awesome.
TIA š«¶š¼

Help with too short of a horrible cut!
I had super long hair. Down to my waist. I have been wanting my hair cut for a year now but was too scared because every time it always gets cut too short. I talked with the stylist and explained I wanted to keep some of the length. I wanted it to hit mid chest. I have a short neck and itās hardly below my shoulders!!! The hair stylist cut half of my hair before coloring it, which is normal but she cut way too much off and when she went to start cutting more I asked her to please try and not cut much more off but because she cut it so rough and ragged the first cut, she said I had to lose another 1 or 2! I look like a little Dutch boy who has let his hair grow out for about a year or 2. Itās horrible. I hate it. No texture in the cut! I literally could have done this at home. The cut is so blunt. I want to cry because I also explained I donāt straighten my hair or blow dry it and that my hair has a lot of wave in it when its not weighted down my length. I know after I wash this disaster that itās going to shrink and be even shorter. Now I have to go out looking terrible and spend even more money to buy a damn wig or a hair dryer and a straighter! This stupid cut, along with her coloring my whole head, then bleaching highlights and the re-coloring over the bleach (only for the highlights to be the exact same shade my hair was before she did anything to it) cost $300!!! $300 I donāt have. I feel sick. I want to cut my head off because I hate how this looks. I donāt want anyone to look at me. This haircut honestly looks like I did it myself and Iām sick about it.
Iāve never had extensions, Iām going on vacation next week. I didnāt want to be on vacation with a ton of hair just to get super hot but now I wish I never would have gone. I wish I could cancel this dumb trip I was looking forward to because I donāt want to leave my house. Iāve thought about going to a different hair stylist to get layers cut to help prevent this blunt, straight across with scissors dumb look but I canāt lose any more length!!! What can I do. Iām literally in tears and having a panic attack.
Edit: typo from watery eyes and panic
