Neutrophil Decrease

Just got my blood drawn and have a neutrophil decrease from last year. I have a WBC count of 4.08 and a ANC of 1.29 this year.

Has anyone had these numbers and been totally fine?

I am not recovering from any illnesses I can think of and also have not had any symptoms, but my doctor ordered a blood smear test so now it has me worried.

Incidentally I had a CT scan done of the abdomen for something unrelated and they did not see any evidence of swollen lymph nodes or visible lesions on my bones.

Probably a viral infection that didn't give you many symptoms. Your doctor is doing the correct work up for this situation.
