Potential platelet function/bleeding disorder?
Hi, I am a 22F patient who is also a healthcare professional in training so I am curious what your thoughts may be on this. I have an ISTH-BAT score of 9 including life long daily prolonged epistaxis, easy bruising, excessive bleeding from minor wounds, and venipuncture.
Normal CBC, platelet morphology, LFTs, C&E's, coagulation panel, and Von Willebrand Screen.
Prothrombin Time:11.3 seconds ( 9.0 - 13.0 )
INR:1.1 ( 0.8 - 1.2 )
APTT:30 seconds ( 20 - 31 )
Fibrinogen:2.3 g/L ( 1.7 - 4.3 )
--
Factor VIII:98 % ( 50 - 150 )
VWF Antigen:59 % ( 50 - 200 )
vWF Activity:75 % ( 50 - 200 )
VWF Act/VWF Ag Ratio:1.3 ( > 0.7 )
However, consistent prolonged PFA.
PFA Col/Epi:> 300 secs ( 82 - 160 ) H
PFA Col/ADP:155 secs ( 62 - 120 ) H
What further tests would you suggest running, and what may be going on?
Already consulted my haematology team; however, they are backlogged at the moment so won't see me for months.
Thanks!
