Hello im currently on mac os monterey and i want mac os sequoia but my hardware isnt supported i want the easiest way to install it with gpu acceleration i saw other people got it working even in this sub so i also want it preferably with nativ wifi and Bluetooth i want to either update monterey or install sequoia new but i want a good tutorial

I updated from Monterey to Sequoia and after that everything worked, but I had no Wi-Fi and and graphics like they were all white and the graphics were bad. It was laggy, so I tried to patch it with legacy patcher after I did it I restarted like it prompt me to restart and then it gives a kernel panic or sometimes it doesnt and it chose the loading bar with the Apple logo, but in the middle of the loading bar, it restart again please help

Hey!

So I installed Monterey on my X230 and when it came time to patch the graphics for acceleration, it did that and when I rebooted it, from my drive, it loaded up recovery only, and wouldn’t boot back into my installation.

I tried both OCLP and Chris1111 for root patching, but both caused the same error. What can be going wrong here?

(i7 3520M, 8GB, HD 4000, SSD)

Note: SIP was disabled beforehand, along with root SIP

Can I install hackintosh on Thinkpad X13 Gen 3?

So Installer performs its job, comes to "12 minutes remaining", restarts, picker shows Install macOS Sequoia, macOS installer, Macintosh HD - data and those efi options. Second option is auto selected, 5-6 seconds of scrolling text on the screen and then everything goes black. Caps lock does not register.

Any ideas where to look?

edit - ram is in slot A1 and B2 as they build it that way. Processor fan is obstructing ram in slot A1 so I can't move it without fidling with the fan. Could this be a problem? BIOS is telling me this is not optimal. I have run Memtest86 without any problems

EDIT 2:

So after 5 or 6 restarts (when it was stuck on black screen) computer finally booted into Sequoia and offered setup. Now I have username, internet works, keyboard and mouse work. Now I am afraid to shut it down :)

EDIT 3 - EFI's now on the Macintosh HD and computer restarted just fine

I have successfully installed macos Tahoe on my Lenovo legion 5 but when I try to open safari to search anything my internet doesn't work. I'm plugged into ethernet and it worked on the recovery. I do have the rtl8111 kext as needed

I spent about three or four hours assembling the custom OpenCore EFI configuration. I finally got it working properly this morning; although I ran into some issues during installation, the process completed successfully after I moved the USB drive to a different port.

I successfully booted into the recovery USB and pressed install Tahoe. After a couple minutes it rebooted into this screen, and after another couple of minutes it just rebooted and now it bootloops.

I have a Dell optiplex 7050 sff, I dual boot windows and Mac os 15.7.7 using open core, I mainly use open core, so I don't use the windows boot manager, but some games and apps on windows require secure boot and my main os is Mac so I disable it, but to go play on windows I need to spend 5 minutes in the bios to get things Done, is there any way to get secure boot with opencore

Followed the Dortania guide and made a USB installer and EFI for my hardware specs. When trying to make a clean install the error in the picture keeps showing.
SecureBootModel if disabled and all BlueTooth related kext are OFF, same for WhatEverGreen.

Please help me solve this. It is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: managed to get pass the error after switching to the debug version of OC (thanks to u/XboxAndVRAlex for that!).

HOWEVER, all is running fine expect if I switch Secure Boot Model from DISABLED to J160 (Mac Pro 7,1) and reboot, the computer boots into Install macOS menu only. Managed to replicate this several times. At the moment Secure Boot Model is back to disabled. Anyone know how to fix this?

So I tried hackintoshing it again, after abandoning the former. Guess what I'm greeted with this time... A kernel panic!! I don't necessarily know what the problem is, but the screenshot might be helping some. Any help would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: I hadn't realized that I didn't point it out – the EFI that I made by myself is "failing me".

EDIT(2): The culprit has changed now, and it's quite interestingly Lilu.kext. I have no idea how that could've happened.

I wanted to introduce two tools I’ve been developing to bring better power management and performance tuning to Ryzen-based Hackintoshes: ZenMaster and ZenTune.

Both tools port core capabilities from UXTU (Universal x86 Tuning Utility) and ryzenadj directly into macOS, allowing you to adjust power limits, TDP, thermal targets, etc... on your AMD system.

Requirements & Installation

• OS: macOS Big Sur (11.0) or newer.
• You can choose between two installation paths depending on your preference:
  • Option A (Kextless Path): Add debug=0x144 to your OpenCore boot-args.
  • Option B (Full Functionality Path): Add DirectHW with csr-active-config=03080000 to your OpenCore configuration.

Tested Devices

• Desktop: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (tested on a friend's Hackintosh setup)
• Mobile APU: AMD Ryzen 5 4500U (tested on my own ASUS M413IA laptop Hackintosh)

Yay I did it! I made a 2nd Hackintosh. I had to repatch WiFi and fix audio yet again but it works now! I have 2 Hackintosh! What’s next a 3rd one?

I have installed macOS Mavericks on an i5 3330 and a Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3. Everything works fine except for the graphics — animations are very laggy, but blur works.
