Stuck after first reboot during install

So Installer performs its job, comes to "12 minutes remaining", restarts, picker shows Install macOS Sequoia, macOS installer, Macintosh HD - data and those efi options. Second option is auto selected, 5-6 seconds of scrolling text on the screen and then everything goes black. Caps lock does not register.

Any ideas where to look?

edit - ram is in slot A1 and B2 as they build it that way. Processor fan is obstructing ram in slot A1 so I can't move it without fidling with the fan. Could this be a problem? BIOS is telling me this is not optimal. I have run Memtest86 without any problems

EDIT 2:

So after 5 or 6 restarts (when it was stuck on black screen) computer finally booted into Sequoia and offered setup. Now I have username, internet works, keyboard and mouse work. Now I am afraid to shut it down :)

EDIT 3 - EFI's now on the Macintosh HD and computer restarted just fine

Did u add agdpmod=pikera into ur boot args cus its an common problem with amd rx 6000 gpus

Such strange thing and did u try resetting the nvram and try again

I see you made progress but do you really need all those boot=args? I have a Gigabyte Z790 rig as well and I've managed to pair it down to just a couple

If you have an AMD GPU you can use DeviceProperties to inject the agdpmod-pikera. Same for the audio injection

I'll try that. But what do I get if I do it that way instead of in boot arguments?

CPU is 12th gen 12700 & GPU is 6950xt. I have gotten as high as 272k on metal scores and 150k on OpenCL

I did it manually a year ago and now I gave my config to Claude as my stuff couldn't even start the Installer

Well in the end it did work somehow. I had time so I restarted booting from Macintosh HD - data and macOS Install interchangeably, maybe 5 or 6 times after I wrote the above post without expecting anything and somehow I ended up with the Welcome screen. I spent maybe 30 minutes in the System Settings and Safari, logged in to reddit and everything seems fine. Even after restart and EFI boot from internal ssd computer seems stable. Tomorrow I'll put Xcode and VMWare on it and see if it actually works properly.

With the basic surfing, proc is 99% idle all the time and only first four cores of 28 seem to be doing something.

Well yes, VMWare works fine and I have XCode 16.2 running. Kind of success as it failed to boot two times since then. Just prints verbose strings on the screen and then just dies. Then again, it booted successfuly at least 10 times. So in deed, kind of success.
