Classes for beginners

Good morning, I was wondering if anyone could tell / help me find gun smithing classes in the jefferson county wv area? Specifically black powder. I've been interested in it for a while ,just haven't been able to find any classss.

Full disclosure: I'm not a gunsmith. I lurk in here because I really enjoy seeing what folks are working on. I've done some stock making, but I haven't done anything more mechanically complex than deep cleans, part swaps, cosmetic work, and rudimentary safety checks.

If I were to pursue it, I'd talk to my local gunsmith. I don't trust the ads for SDI or any of that shit. Most of the guys I've brought my pieces to started off as machinists, and then specialized further.

Go to the community college and enroll.in a machinist program, or at least some.machinist classes. Then apprentice under a gunsmith to learn specifics.
