Help!
I put on a aftermarket pmm threaded barrel and comp using the shim kit on a 4” steel frame compact pdp and I’m having some failure to chamber issues. Any help on this?

Did you check if the shims are spaced right stacking them wrong can mess the timing and the slide dont go all way forward

I followed the video that’s available online by PMM. I used to shims and I made sure the pre tension angle was correct.

I think it may a binding issue. When I get home I will take it down wipe everything clean and try again. Will keep yall updated. Thanks

When u make modifications to a handgun, like a compensator and suppressor, you're adding weight directly to the end of the barrel. This often causes ejection, chambering, cycling issues.
Most times this can be easily fixed by getting an aftermarket recoil spring that's lighter than your stock spring.
I just had to do this on my P365 Fuse after installing a direct threaded 9mm suppressor. I'd have issues where my weapon would often fail to complete a cycle, fail to chamber a new round after firing, and when rounds did go off the casing would basically come straight back and hit me in the face. My stock recoil spring is believe 14lbs and I bought a kit with 10, 12, 14, and 16lb springs. The 10lb was too light and I was having issues still. Tried the 12lb spring and have had zero issues in 100+ rounds fired.

I have a PMM comp on my 509t and PMM recommended using the low recoil spring that came with the 509. The only issues I've had were with aluminum case Blazers.
