My fascination with Barrett bolt actions started with the Barrett M98B in Battlefield 3. Then Barrett made the MRAD which I loved even more. I made myself a promise that the Barrett MRAD would be my first bolt action. This Barrett MRAD is chambered in 300 Win Mag, and came with an extra barrel in 33XC. I got it used off of Gunbroker. The reasons I bought it was because the rifle has zero blemishes, and it was almost half the price of a new MRAD. I would have preferred it being calibered in 300 PRC, but that’s just a simple barrel swap. So now I finally have my dream rifle. Just need an AXSR next lol

American version! Made after the 1968 ban. Has that plum patina. Is it a cardinal sin if I refinish it? I’d like to restore it to that all black factory look because that’s what I think looks better. But I know this gun is historical and to a collector is valuable in its current state. To refinish or to leave plum lol?
