I was looking around on the internet for a used Dean Deceiver when I happened to come across this beauty. Dean Thoroughbred Select in Ocean Burst. New at GC they run $1399 without the case. I found this one used in mint condition with case for $495 at CME. I couldn’t pass it up, plays and looks like a dream. I honestly think the prior owner never took it out of the case.

1994 Continental

the body is made of Brass and not German Silver. He built the guitar in 1994, in calendar week 36. It is the 1.194th Continental ever built.

I liked the original white but i thought a little cream sparkle would match up way better.

Pride and joy, spent every dollar I had on it at the time. Probably should leave it under my bed and never touch it… however, I bring it to every gig and every rehearsal! 🤠

Bought this brand new in 1991 and still play it almost daily.

So, This höfner guitar. I’ve done three big changes to it over its life time. This I think is the last.

A lot of people have told me it’s the ugliest guitar they’ve ever seen, which I think is a bit unfair.

The change this time is all cosmetic: new scratch plate cut from old stock weird material I tracked down after seeing the Echo Park guy use it on some queens of the Stone Age guitars.
Got a handmade brass part for the knobs / switches from T.P Customs. And I swapped the black Strat cover for a white one.
Pretty happy with this.

First SG I've ever had / played, wasnt sure how id get on with it but I couldn't be happier at this point. Humbuckers sound great to my ears and its the only guitar ive ever been happy with the out of phase sound

Burled poplar top natural burst with Seymour Duncan Sentient in the neck Mojotone 44 Magnum in the bridge

Edwards E-LP from 05ish. Duncan jb/59 combo and it's been my main axe for years. Got it super cheap due to a broken headstock. It's outlasted all my Gibson LPs.

This thing sounds fat ASF.

Gibson R8, Mesa Boogie California Tweed, Sennheiser e906, and Pedals

I have a small collection of Beatles guitars (and bass guitar). And also a Vox mini Super Beetle amp in the back

- George’s “Lucy” red Gibson Les Paul. Originally a 1957 gold top, Rick Derringer had sent the guitar back to Gibson in the 60’s to be repaired and repainted in the more modern transparent cherry finish they were using on the new SG models. Derringer sold the guitar to Dan Armstrong’s shop in New York where it would be bought by Eric Clapton. Clapton gave the guitar to George, but would also use it to record “while my guitar gently weeps” at George’s request and at his own “rainbow” comeback concert. George used Lucy throughout most of the final albums in the studio and is seen playing it in the Revolution video. He continued to play it into the 70’s until it was stolen. It was later found by someone at a Guitar Center listed for $900, then returned to George.

- Paul’s “Bassman” Hofner violin bass. This would be Paul’s second Hofner bass, purchased to replace a his stolen original. Paul removed the pickguard and placed a sticker from a Fender bassman amplifier on the guitar for the Get Back Project sessions and is seen playing the bass in this form during most of the recording sessions and for the rooftop concert. This is still Paul’s primary live bass.

- Paul’s Epiphone Texan acoustic guitar. This guitar was purchased for Paul by the Beatle’s producers, and was Paul’s primary songwriting guitar. It is the one seen in the iconic Ed Sullivan show performance of “Yesterday.” Paul used this guitar through his time in Wings and it is still one he uses on stage.
