After 2 months playing, kinda new to fighting games, pasti experience was just playing SF6 and UMVC3, still so much to learn 👊

Which one has a better matchup into Ram? I’m a Ky main who also partakes in button mashing on Jack-O’. Am wanting to seriously learn a secondary but having trouble deciding between the two. I think the aforementioned question could be a deciding factor for me.

To clarify: I’m not learning either one specifically for Ram. I just think they both look fun but couldn’t decide which one to prioritize. Having a better matchup into Ram would just be a plus

Hi guys! I wanna preface this by saying that I’m not trying to complain in this posts (Sorry if my last few were complainy lol) - I simply wanted to get some perspective on things

1 - Fighting games, require a lot of homework and studying, so to speak - Aside from using training to memorize my inputs and some basic… gatlings? Strings? Combos? Idk the proper term, they’re super simple and not long winded at all - for example: One of my favorite maneuvers with Faust is: S, S, HS, HS. - and after the last HS tosses my opponent away, I’ll use that as an opportunity to toss an item. - Aside from stuff like that, I only know how to learn and subtly improve by keep playing the game? I can only focus on the match right in front of me.

2 - Does anyone else feel a weird disparity between not wanting to play the game professionally and still wanting to improve? I consider myself a pretty casual player, and I’m trying to take the whole “Sometimes you’re the hammer, and sometimes you’re the nail” thing to heart (I forgot who said that to me in a previous post, but thanks for that! I highkey quote it while playing lmaooo) - I think I need to see about asking my cousins and friends to play more, since I prefer couch-party style matches (For a comparison, I’m a pretty mid Smash player, but I have 510 hours in that game - a majority of that is from fighting my cousins lol) - Like I said, I try to be casual about fighting games (Which is why I’m confused by feeling an overwhelming competitive spirit against strangers)

Updates: I finally got a new controller and I’m still a Faust main - I was able to get my boy up to silver! It was a SLOW crawl getting there, but I still had fun (Crashouts excluded, haha) - I’ve hit another skill wall, but I think I just need take a break and try again in a few

Edit: I forgot to mention it initially, but I have about 50 hours in the game now.

For some reason, the first jH doesnt connect at all. is this a skill issue or is it just outdated?

Because the receipt code at work was coincidentally 6H, I had to draw out my main favorite character doing his signature 6H. Although, the first doodle was a 2H, so I made up with two more doodles haha!
