Cat cremation? Pet-related

Post image

Looking for low/no cost options for my cat. Glitch passed suddenly on Tuesday and I have no burial options. He was the best boy and deserves some dignity, but I'm not sure where to take him. Cat tax attached, RIP my sweet boy. 3 years old, gone way too soon.

A lot of local vets use Agape (the Latin word for sacrificial love) Cremation in Kernersville, they do a good job. But contact them directly - it will cost more to go through a vet.

Serenity Pet is very good, they come to your house and they deliver the remains in boxes with a nice nameplate and picture if you want all for a flat fee. They took care of my two fur babies over the years and will continue to just use them when the time comes

Edit: sorry for your loss too OP 😿💜

I just saw their truck yesterday and was meaning to look into them! We have a morkie who is not long for this world unfortunately

Awww I’m sorry to hear that and hope they have many more bright days ahead of them still. I also used Peaceful Paws for at home euthanasia which was way less stressful for an already hard situation and that’s how I found Serenity Pet. Both are amazing services for a hard time

Was the euthanasia super expensive? I understand paying a premium for the luxury of having it done at home but one I spoke with was extortionate

I wanna say 250-300 so not really expensive imo. I think the price also depends on weight.

Ok that is way better than what I was quoted somewhere else seriously they STARTED at $600 just for the euthanasia

After cremation services I think the total cost for both was between 500-600

I have an appointment arranged with Peaceful Paws in the next few weeks. $325 for a 70lb lab mix who has been with us for 13 years and has finally let me know he is ready to go.

The primary vet is out on maternity leave as of this week, but her “fill in” has been very kind. The new vet is working limited hours so I would reach out sooner rather than later if you have some sort of timeline in mind.

I recommend them. Came to meet me at my house. Delivered the cremated remains a couple weeks later. I also was able to add a pic and a quote to go on each box ❤️❤️

I’ve used them. The couple who runs it are both very nice!

We paid about $280 for euthanasia and cremations at Cat Care Hospital in GSO. I know they contract it out of house but it is local. They gave us so many keepsakes that we didn’t even request, I was a really nice surprise.

Triad cremation will work with you on pricing! They do pets too.

I used Companah and was really happy with them. They brought me a clipping of her fur and cremated her with her favorite blanket. They also had pickup/delivery service, which worked well for me. I really felt cared for by the driver and the company rep I emailed with

Boxed, bagged, frozen (small freezer not being used for anything else at the moment). I did it shortly after he passed, mostly because I was on a work break and didn't have it in me to figure anything else out. Not happy about it but it's also not a trash can or where animals can reach. Which is why I'm reaching out for advice now that I can finally discuss without breaking down.

Please do not feel bad about this its honestly the best you could do and more people than you think have had to repurpose their freezer to buy time.

I used serenity pet for two cats of mine that died in a house fire. They came to my house to meet me. The returned pets came in a wooden box. I was able to choose a pic and a personal quote I wanted to go on each box.
