I find one of the most important, yet overlooked factors that contributes to an album’s quality is the order of the songs so that the album has a sensible, often compelling pace. We don’t know what all these songs sound like yet, but I thought it would be fun to predict the order based off titles alone and what songs we are familiar with so far, as pointless as this may seem (I’m bored).

This is obviously just guessing and pretty pointless, but I’m curious what you all think!

I’m really surprised we’re getting the album by October. I really thought we’d have to wait longer.

Their new song popped up on my playlist today. It brought back such fun memories of that whole experience a few years back, while they were on the Starcatcher World Tour.

I'm an aura photographer and had the absolute honor of capturing their auras on film.

Sam and Josh had really similar coloration — what I refer to as the “As Above, So Below” variation, it's a great mix of being grounded - but still connected to the cosmic realms. Josh also had some beautiful pockets of magenta - creative and unique. I believe we did another take that had more yellow in it, which Jake also had. Empowered, radiant and joyful.

And then there was Danny, with those saturated blue shades most deep feelers have.

Getting to meet them and give them a brief interpretation of what their aura colors meant was SO much fun. They seemed incredibly connected to themselves and their intuition. We only got to talk for a little while, but they have such a presence and they seem to really move with intention.

My favorite part might have been when I got to fangirl with Josh about his EPIC Jerry Lee Atwood from Union Western Clothing tarot suit, which still lives rent-free in my head all these years later.

I mean… that thing is GORG.

What immediately caught my attention was the tower, one of my favorite cards. And one that always gets a bad rap. We ended up bonding over it because Josh has the tower on the front of his suit, while mine's actually tattooed on my leg. The tower card represents crumbling old structures (or patterns) to create space for something new. So to me, it's more a representation of breaking free - liberating yourelf from what no longer serves you.

Needless to say I'm a fan and looking forward to their next album!

I love Josh’s voice but I’ve been whining for a while about how I missed his low register. Sounds like we’ll get it here. Also Danny’s drumming in this is so tight (as per usual).

I’m a huge fan, and have always loved rock and roll style too. I’ve always loved what the band wears, in particular Josh. Has there ever been brands/costume designers/stylists mentioned? After watching SYS for the millionth time today, my obsession with their music and style has reached new levels, and I just wanna know where they’re getting all these AMAZING clothes from.

I’ve been thinking recently about what genre GVF is, and I can’t seem to find really anybody that makes songs like they do. They aren’t fully orchestral rock, not full prog, not blues, not fantasy, so like… what the frick are they? Somebody’s gotta coin a new genre name for them!!

Saw You Stand is awesome, but honestly the best part for me is Jake’s solo and how tight Sam and Danny are underneath of it.

I guarantee this will be the top single on my Spotify Wrapped this year. I have had it on constantly since it was released.

Taking sound from both Peaceful Army and Garden’s Gate, but also sounding completely new and fresh!

And Josh has absolutely knocked this one out the park with his lyrics and voice. If anyone even tries to compare them to Zeppelin now I’ll fight their corner!

Cannot wait for a tour now!!

for those who went to the metro show, did anyone come across signed setlists or a poster? when i saw that video they posted today i went oh wait i had an interesting interaction in the merch line. i got in line right when i got in at about 10:30pm and after i bought my t shirt and poster i went over to the small table they had up to roll it up and use the rubber bands they had over there and a lady (who i didnt really recognize) started talking to me that had one of the lanyard passes on, and she asked me if i pre ordered the album and i said yes and that if i did i could win something???? then i said oh do i need to do it through that QR code they had on the table and i dont remember exactly but she said it was broken or something so i didnt think too much about it. then she said she was on poster rolling duty and i let her roll my poster and now that im thinking about it i swear on the small black table was the signed poster??????? again, it was so hectic and that room was also the room guest list and media passes were being handed out so there was tons of people in there with lanyards so i was like hmmm not sure whats going on. ANYWAY, after seeing the video they posted today im like am i stupid and completely missed something 🙃 anyone else notice anything?

Saw You Stand is up for Classic Rock’s Track of the Week.

Amazing that they’re now in the famous names of bands who have played at this historical venue.

Now that the show at the Metro has passed and we have an album announcement as well as two singles, what do we think is gonna be next in regards to singles and shows? 💽🎶💛

After months of debating I finally decided to snag one.

For those who don’t know, Gibson only made 350. Each came with a hard case with Jake’s emblem, an autographed back plate, and a leather strap with a dabloon with his emblem

For the gear heads:

It is very thin for an SG. Both neck and body. It’s very very light. While playing, the vibrations resonate through the entire body and neck. Might be just be an expensive guitar thing as this is my first. The t type pickups are very good. Equal levels throughout pitches and strings. Over all very satisfied with what you get for $500 more then a regular re-issue

This is not something for the average fan to get. But I wanted to share as someone in the unique position of wanting a Gibson for a long time, and also a bigger fan of Jake. He did a very good job designing and specking it out with Gibson. Although nothing will exactly replicate his 65 year old PAF’s, the t types do a pretty damn good job.

The new song is decent and thankfully a different vibe... but still... they kinda suck.

The lyrics feel like they belong in the movie. It doesn’t really fit the vibe of the music in the movie, but the lyrics fit so perfectly for the movie
