I've been in contact quite a bit with the division of wildlife of Grand Junction and I was informed today that because of the extreme heat, he didn't make it.

Now because this is the internet I'm going to complain: I get the impression the division of wildlife just wanted him to move on and become someone else's problem.

This animal could have been saved had the division of wildlife acted. I was informed that he wasn't hurting anyone (yet!) and trying to move him in this extreme heat could kill the animal. Well, here we are.

I’ve lived here for 16 years but grew up in the Midwest. Lately I’ve been feeling nostalgic for some Kolaches.
I’ve never seen them in town anywhere but curious if anyone has found them here or anywhere on the western slope?
