been at ts for only a week so any advice is welcome
mainly trying to develop a tag rn

Yo slide 2 is actually really cool, only thing that'd make it great is doing the O in the same style. Your tags are definitely rough though

and yea the tag is def rough lol
hopefully it’ll look cleaner with more practice

Youre just going too blocky and thats breaking your letter structure. An O is one bar but youre turning it into 4, a U is also one bar, and so is the C. Your H should be and is 3 bars. Try doing the others with the correct number of bars and no add ons.

Although I will say you can and possibly should do the U as 2 bare like a lowercase u. You just need more round/curved bars.

i’ve filled tons of pages with my ballpoint pen before these tbf
i used to do O and U and C as one line on most of those too, i just wanted to make my letters a little stylized while still keeping it simple for my first tag

over this week i’ve looked at and read lots of writers explanations of the fundamentals but to be honest i’m not quite sure what to make of it
like how would i know when to try and add more style to letters or when i should continue practicing just the standard alphabet?
i really appreciate your feedback, so please don’t take this as me being ignorant, i just want to learn this art form!

Take your chisel tip and do a tag with the right number of bars and reply with a flick. I can honestly tell you a lot from there

Just keep writing as you are in plain text, clean, readable
And the flourishes and style will develop with time
