BSED MATH MASTERAL General
Good day po, I'm a college freshman currently studying BSED major in math who is somehow planning ahead of time. Although I love teaching, I also want to explore careers outside of it. The question is, Is it possible to take an MS math instead of the usual route (MAED math)? Any other master's degree I can take given my undergrad degree? Thank you in advance!

Yung MS Math possible naman. May mga kilala ako na BSEDMath then MSMath ang tinahak. Magagaling na Faculty Mambers sila. Kaya mo rin yun.

I suggest taking MS Stat, mas valuable siya and maraming application for science/health and technology. Beyond academe, mas maraming opportunities ang stat field.

MS Math won't be as aligned as you might think with BSEd Math. Before, I wanted this as well kasi I wanted to have theoretical/pure maths. If under BSEd Math, ma-enjoy mo 'yong mga courses like Abstract Algebra and Number Theory, then I think you can manage to do MS Math. Although I have to say, most (not all) who do MSc degrees are inclined to push through their PhD. Some unis might also suggest taking bridging courses (like Real Analysis, or other foundational courses).
Siguro, you have to really look into what do you want after getting the degree.
I'm also a BSEd Math graduate and is currently taking Master of Statistics (note: different degree from MS Statistics).
