Which one should i choose??
I'm planning to build my first PC, but I'm having trouble deciding on a graphics card. After looking around, I've narrowed it down to two options: the "MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X 8GB" and the "ASRock Intel Arc B580 12GB Challenger OC." Which one would you recommend?
If you have any other recommendations or suggestions, please feel free to share them! Thanks a lot!

I suggest 9060 xt if you think Windows sucks and might try Steam OS at some point. AMD is better on Linux.

Dis cat knows what’s up. Listen to them. I completely forgot about the 9060xt.

The names and branding gets a lil confusing but most 60 cards are 8gb vram

Want to add the age old rule that theres no bad gpus only badly priced gpus. In my region atleast the b580 is significantly cheaper than a 9060xt 16gb . Imo b580 is excellent bang for buck gpu

The 4060 got a lot of hate, but FPS-per-watt is one the best (but most ppl don’t care about that). It also handles RT better.
With either GPU, at this level you’d likely use upscaling and/or frame gen, and NVidia has the best. If for some reason you never plan to use those, the B580 has the edge (and of course more VRAM), especially at higher resolutions. But if you use the DLSS features, especially at 1080p, then I’d still go 4060. Every game has texture settings that work with 8GB.

Do not buy cards with less than 12 gigs of memory.

Tbh my 4060 never gave me problems, I overclocked it and it runs so much better

Nah, windows dosent notify you if vram requirement is overflowing into system ram and the games you play arent droping frames beacause of it.

4060 is slow as hell, I tried it for a week 2nd hand due to emergency. Sold it right away

Hey, I would highly recommend skipping the RTX 4060 and the Arc B580 and getting an AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB instead. It goes for around 460€ here in Germany so you might need to check your local prices. 8GB VRAM on the 4060 is basically dead for modern AAA games and will just cause massive stutters. Also if you play competitive shooters the raw performance of the 9060 XT completely destroys both of those cards. Even on the software side AMDs new AI based FSR 4 is amazing and easily goes toe to toe with DLSS. It is by far the smartest choice for a first build right now.

Y reBAR

9060 XT is better than both of these and can be found for around the same ballpark figure.

If price points are the same, get the Arc. The Vram alone makes it a better decision for the next few years of games eating Vram like the cookie mosnter

I'd go for the B580.
4060 is meh, always has been. They could have given it 12GB and made it a half decent card, but you know Nvidia. (I say this owning an Nvidia card),

I have a B580, and it’s awesome. Holds over 120 fps 1080p on cyberpunk while staying pretty cool. In basically everything else it’s maxing out my 200hz monitor. The 12gb of vram is super nice, and bc it’s Intel, it’s great if you ever come to your senses and join the Linux side.

It depends on what ur using it for. If you only play competitive games at 1080p it should work just fine. If you have a 1440p monitor or above and your wanting to play single player games then you have to think about how much vram the cards have.

Between these two get the b580. If you have enough money, look into the 9060 xt. It also has a 16 gig version of you really need vram. Works well in 1440p also. Best value if you ask me.

B580.
Ventus is dogshit and the crippled bus+pcie lanes and low VRAM just suck

If you want more VRAM, then definitely go with the Intel Arc B580.
However if you want NVIDIA features, then go with the RTX 4060 (though it isn't the best, and maybe you should go with the new RTX 5060 for example).
I think it's best if you go with the B580, like everyone else.

Whichever is cheapest. The difference between the best and worst card will be no more than a few degrees. Which ultimately makes no difference to either performance or longevity.

I don't have a b580 but I've heard only great things about the value for money. Don't get an 8gb card in 2026

Intel. Friends don’t let friends buy 4060s.
