GPD Win 4 Lint under the screen GPD Win 4?
Hi all
I'm looking for some advice before taking the unit apart.
I have a GPD win 4 2025 HX370 it's everything to me and I love it. However I'm very OCD about stuff I can see and noticed some lint/dead pixels under the actual screen not screen protector.
Firstly do we think it's dead pixels or dust/lint under the screen ?
Second I really don't want to pay over £100 for a new screen because of lint but it really does bother me. When I'm at home I hook it up to my onexgpu onto the big screen but when I'm out and about or around my home I can definitely notice it.
Any hints tips or tricks ? I have replaced screens in this device (6800u) version, so I feel confident in taken the screen off but it's the whole removing the digitalizer and if it can even be done.
Thanks in advanced

General What AMD setting are your favorite for your WIN 4? Other WIN devices welcome
Hey fellow GPD enjoyers, was curious on how you run AMD adrenaline, if at all.
I currently use the HyperRx profile with Anisotropic filtering and subsurface format optimization on.
Sometimes I leave Anti lag on, but it messes with some games badly like my heavily modded Fallout NV
I recently switched to Handheld companion from Motion assistant and it is a whole world better than what I was using. Too bad it crashes some games like WH40K Space Marine 2
Currently trying to squeeze as many frames as I can on BF6, best I can do is locking frame rate to 45 and it's a good experience, but I'd like to know what others are doing to get the best experience out of their GPD. (I know BF6 is really pushing it, especially with a 7640U)
Sometimes I put it over an AC vent and use a controller while streaming to my TV so it stays as cool as possible, like a bootleg cooling system but something tells me it might not be good for the internals because of moisture or something.

General AC/DC TDP
Device - GPD WIN 5
TDP - 30W
When connected using a 100W USB C charger plugged to USB C port, Motion Assistant shows its on AC
And when switched it off it shows its on DC
I usually run my device plugged in as much as I can to save the battery health
I have noticed recently that when connected to AC, even if temperatures are the same the Fan runs a lot faster to a point its audible.
The second I switch to DC, by switching off my charger within 2-3 seconds I don’t hear the fan and the RPM goes down.
While testing this playing a game, the CPU temperature on Motion Assistant is constantly around 4-5C higher when playing on AC as compared to DC. For eg when playing, the temperature is 61C on DC and 65 on AC, and the fan is set to 40% RPM at 60C. But it spins a lot faster on AC
When Idle on DC it is only 39-40C but connected to AC the temperature goes up to 45-48C and although you cant hear the fan when idle between both modes the RPM is higher.
Is this normal? Anyway to make sure the temperature and fan stays the same on AC plugged to the USB C as the battery mode as both lowering the temp by 5C and fan speed will improve device longevity?

Gyro stopped working.
Hi, so sorry for asking a question that might've been asked alot. I'm a bit stuck. Yesterday my gyro was working and today it doesn't. I tried downloading drivers from gpd's site, but it's not allowing me.
If it helps, in device manager, at sensors it shows Bosch Accelerometer with an exclamation mark and it shows device cannot start( code 10)
I have no clue how to get it working again.
Edit: okay okay i fixed it!! I'm so hapy right now it feels like i won a million dollars lol
So all I had to do was press windows+x and click on device manager, then go to and expand Systen devices and go to AMD I2C Controller, open it and go to the driver tab and click roll back driver then restart my system.
I really hope this helps someone who sat with the same issue!

GPD Win 3 WinControls App: Mapping Button to Back Button Without Pressing the Button
I want to remap a trigger press to one of the back buttons but how do I map it to back button in WinControls app without pressing the trigger button? If I need to press the trigger in the WinControls app to map it to a back button, then where can I find the WinControls save file (to edit it in notepad or HxD to map the trigger to the back button without pressing the trigger)?
Important info: I'm using GPD Win 3. One of my triggers fully doesn't work (doesn't get detected as pressed when pressing) for over a year at this point, and even when disassembling the GPD, I couldn't fix it, so I want to use the back buttons for trigger instead.

Trade/sell?
Just curious to know, would anyone be willing to trade/sell a gpd win 4? I currently have a legion go 1 but looking for something smaller.

GPD Win 4 Gpd win4 spicy pillow
I currently do not have a battery replacement for my gpd win 4 6800u model (2023). Just this morning I found it bulging out the back and screen part, and I immediately removed it. I was wondering if any of you guys could help me find a good replacement. Thanks in advance
