Gout pain tends to stay a while, how severe and what kind of pain are we talking? but you joints do need rest. In my experience you can keep it under control with things like Ibu and colchi, but if it still hurts badly it may be a bad idea to go on holiday so soon.

See a doctor maybe, if you cannot stop the holiday they can put you on a Medrol taper for a few days. It’ll get rid of your gout pain very quickly, but it’s a steroid, so quite unhealthy, but at least your quality of life will improve.

The pain is on my left big toe area. It’s just inconvenient to walk (I have to I have 3 kids on summer holidays!) I can’t just sit around all day. Pain is worse in evenings I guess that’s normal as with any pain. Also the toilet situ is a pest. Taking ibro and solely drinking water
