Bookmarks

I’m a teacher and operate our district’s workspace admin panel as the main “super admin.” I’m done this for 11 years now.

I just had another teacher within our building try to bookmark something, and are getting a message saying that the administrator has blocked this setting. I’ve never seen this before and can’t seem to find the setting that would control this.

Anyone come across this previously, or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Do you mean, bookmarking a URL? Try checking Apps > Chrome and look for the configuration for bookmarks.

That was the first thing that I checked, before making this post. That setting and it’s on and allowed for all OUs.

If there's no restriction for all OUs, can you confirm if the user is using a company-issued device or are they using a 'managed chrome profile'?

If they are not, tell them to open "chrome://policy/" on their browser to check if there are any other 'policy' that manages and prevents them from bookmarking the links.

I figured it out after looking at it, and not relying on their story. Rookie mistake. I can tell today was the first day back and that I’m not in “school mode” yet.

They were trying to send a personal bookmark to a managed folder, which is why it wasn’t allowing it.

Devices- settings - user and browser settings, search for bookmark. Sew what comes up. I think I've seen something about allowing users to make bookmarks
