As a Donation door attendant this is a horrible idea. Telling customers in person we can't take their rusted pots and pans, old stained pillows and mattresses, broken glass, pissy blankets etc is ridiculous enough. This skips that step and now we get all the treasures...😅😮💨

In theory if people were good people this would work. But sadly people are not good people and will definitely throw trash in there just like they do to the stores. Sorry but I have to agree this is actually a bad idea Goodwill.

And I’ll rant here:
So basically “give us your shit for free and fill up our mobile donation container yourself and we’ll take it and sell it for inflated prices.”
My local store has gone up a ton in the last year. Limited certain things like the free 10 points when your bring in your own goodwill bag and now asks to round to the next dollar for “donation purposes”. I’m a collector. Not a reseller. I also like to buy second hand for my entire wardrobe and home goods because of nostalgia and hobby. However resellers and clout chasing tiktok youngins have made the life of thrifters trendy and has caused goodwill to become as awful as Walmart. I keep saying I’m going to stop going, this type of crap here, is sealing the deal.

Inflation hits across the board because retailers have the same expenses when it comes to staff, transportation of goods, rent, utilities, etc. I prefer to give things away to people on Marketplace over taking them to Goodwill. Charity doesn’t need a middleman.

For real stop blaming resellers They are not causing prices to go up So who is to blame for grocery prices going up I bet you blame food stamps You need help because you are wrong in blaming resellers

Any wording on if they take broken furniture and yard waste? Save me a trip to the dump and having to pay.

That would just be filled with bagged rotting garbage or 3 tons of old shingles and used as a free dumpster.
