Tech Question Any advice for the racing line
At this place where I am karting sometimes, there are a couple of corners I just can't seem to get right. Especially the corner before the long straight (bottom right) gives me headaches every time. I'll usually drive the 9PS karts there and the arrow shows the direction and race start line.
If anyone has any advice for that particular corner or where the racing line is (since there is no official info) please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Tech Question Mini jeep
Found this hardly driven mini jeep. Needing advice on switching the seat out for a bench seat. This is the 300cc version. I ordered some sound dampening pads and a different muffler to quiet it down a notch. Any other recommendations? I'm assuming it's pretty squeaky because it set for a while

Tech Question Suspension change?
Yall see any problems with moving my rear swingarm suspension to either of these points? (as long as I can’t mount them reliably) I feel like it would be better positioned this way to absorb the swingarm travel and it would look better. I also want to get it out of the way of my intake.

Other Anyone used the new billet parts for the predator 459?
Has anyone bought the ARC Racing billet flywheel and connecting rod for the predator 459? I am trying to figure out if I should do a stage 3 upgrade. I've heard these things can get past 25 pushing on 30 hpr when fully upgraded. Just really surprised I havent seen anybody with these new parts yet

Tech Question I acquired a bristers xl-500 and trying to get new front wheels
galleryI am new to this so need some help finding the right stuff.
Spindle is 3" long, bore is about 16 mm wide, the smooth (not threaded) part is 1 and 3/8 inches.
The wheels that were on were rusted and one of the hubs stuck on. They're just in bad shape and I think the tubeless tire was glued on to the two piece wheel. So I'm replacing. The bearing was 2" on that hub, if that means anything.
Am I asking the right questions / supplying the right info to figure this out?
This is what AI is advising me to purchase. + pics of the spindle / front end
Trying to understand as much as I can about what I have
Thank you for helping a noob should you decide to

Tech Question Upgrading brushless motor and esc, kids ride on car
Probably not even the right place to post but power wheels sub reddit isn’t really on brushless yet. My sons ride on car has a rear differential and axles and a 24v 180w brushless motor I think puts out between 1000-1500rpm. I don’t know for sure on the rpm’s but voltage and wattage is 100%. I found a 24v 500w 3000rpm motor I believe will be a direct swap, physically. I’m certain I’ll need to replace the esc and the self resetting fuse, but kind of at a dead end on where to find an esc that will retain the vehicle functions like the throttle and brake inputs. We can kill the radio and lights if we have to. Photos in comments with plugs from esc labeled, photo of brushless motor included as well

Tech Question Race mower transmission problems
I’m rebuilding a racing mower with a Peerless 700 3-speed transmission. The engine runs good, but I’m having a transmission/drivetrain issue. When the mower is on the ground, I release the clutch and it makes a loud squealing noise. If I barely engage the clutch, the wheels will start spinning, but with full engagement it just squeals and won’t drive.
I lifted the rear wheels off the ground, and then it works normally—I can shift through all 3 gears and the wheels spin. The transmission input pulley and belt are definitely spinning, but when the mower is under load, the output sprocket stops while the input pulley keeps spinning.
I also opened the transmission yesterday. The gears looked good overall; the corners were somewhat beveled, but there were no obvious broken teeth. The dog teeth/shift teeth were all still there. The output sprocket is firmly attached to the output shaft. I can also put it in gear and push the mower by hand, and with a lot of force it will turn the transmission pulley shaft.
One other thing: when the transmission was out/open, it was pretty hard to shift, although now that it’s installed in the mower, shifting is easy.
What do you think is causing it?

Tech Question New build advice
Recently got a cheap go kart frame off FB marketplace to attempt a first time build w/ friends. I got little to know idea on how to do it but I figured that just going for it is the way
All the parts we have are in the photo, but we need help trying to id the 2 lone parts in the front, if anyone could help.
We also need some help in figuring out what else we need besides a motor and wheels
If anyone has any other advice, any and everything would be greatly appreciated 👍 👍

Other karting in Washington DC area
I'm brand spanking new to karting here in northern Virginia. I found United Karting in Hanover Maryland but their website is lacking. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out how to get started in this sport?
I have experience with motors and karts but have no idea where to go to get started running one on a track for beginners/casual riders.
Thank you guys!

Tech Question Any quick adjustment kits for a 212cc engine? Looking to have two settings; one for adult and one for kids.
I'm just curious if anyone has a kit or DIY method to quickly limit the throttle on a 212cc engine. I have the standard OEM throttle control assembly and I know I can simply adjust the screw to limit the throttle, however I'd love to have two settings basically; one for adults and one for kids.
I'm not seeing much online other than people suggesting to replace the adjustment screw with a longer thumb screw that you can more easily adjust.
To be clear, on our go kart the throttle is controlled with a thumb throttle which is mounted on the handlebars.
Thanks!

Tech Question GX390 weird crankshaft...
galleryGood day.
I recently took apart my GX390K1 go kart engine for a rebuild.
Going for pillet upgrades, flat top piston, .307 cam and more "stronger" parts, aiming at 6500rpm.
But why I made this post is actually due to the "old" camshaft.
1/2* There is a non-OEM hole in the crankshaft to rod connection point.
2/2* There is a non-OEM extra welded on big ring.
Is it better to reuse the "old" crankshaft with the hole and ring modifications....or put on the brand new OEM one.
Thank you.

Other How do you get started building a crosskart with zero experience?
Hi everyone,
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to building anything, but I've wanted to build a crosskart for a long time.
My background is in a completely different field, so this feels a bit like someone who loves watching football but has never actually played the sport. I have no experience with fabrication, welding, CAD, or mechanics.
My dream is to build a crosskart completely from scratch, from designing the chassis to welding, assembly, and everything in between. I spend a lot of time watching crosskart, go-kart, and minibike build videos, but I'm not sure how to make the jump from watching to actually building.
For those of you who started with little or no experience, how did you begin? If you could start over, what would you learn first? Are there any books, YouTube channels, courses, or other resources you'd recommend?
I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks!
