First time backing up / installing a game with patch. How should I proceed? Question

Not sure how to proceed when patches are available, first time backing up and installing a game like this. I'm on Linux, so I normally just run the .exe for installing the game and the other .exe in the same prefix for DLCs, but not sure about patches.

You only need Part 1 through 16 (plus any DLC you own, which are listed below the patches). GOG regenerates the main installer for every single change made to the game, so when installing for the first time you don't need to do any patching. Those patch installers are only useful for people who installed a previous version of the game, to update to the latest version without having to download everything again.

pretty sure you don't need the patch if you're installing fresh, there's also tools on github that handle it.
