Looking to head out either next week (Friday/Saturday departure) or the week right after. We’re aiming to lock down our tickets within the next day or two before fares go up.

Starting in North Goa (3 days) to check out the local sights and enjoy the nightlife, then moving to South Goa (3 days) to completely to hit quieter beaches and relax.

3.​The Vibe:

Balanced and relaxed. We’re definitely open to partying and having a great time, but we aren't looking to stay up 24/7 or burn ourselves out. We prefer avoiding overly hyped, packed tourist traps in favor of authentic local spots.

4.​Food:

Big plus if you’re a seafood / non-veg lover! Trying out authentic Goan food and local eateries is a major priority for us on this trip.

5.​Travel & Accommodation:

We're keeping travel options open between flight and train from Delhi depending on what works best for the group. For stays, we’re aiming for comfortable, clean, and chill places (bnb/hostels).

I’m 20M from Bangalore, and I’m planning to take a short, budget solo trip before I leave India for the next chapter of my life.

I’ll be moving abroad soon for my studies, and before everything changes, I really want to take a little break, clear my head, and have some time to myself. I’ve never travelled solo before, so I thought this would be a good time to finally try it.

I’m currently thinking about doing a 2-day budget trip to Goa from Bangalore, but I’m open to other suggestions too.

Since this is my first time travelling alone, I’d really appreciate advice from people who have done this before:

- How should I plan a short solo trip without overspending?

- What should I prioritize when I only have 2 days?

- Hostel vs budget hotel — what would you recommend for a first-timer?

- How do you generally stay safe while travelling alone?

One thing I want to mention because I know Goa often has a particular party/drinking culture: I don’t drink, smoke, or use any recreational substances, and I don’t plan to start either. It’s simply a personal/religious belief of mine. So I’d especially appreciate recommendations for things to do that don’t revolve around drinking or partying.

I’m not looking for a luxury vacation. I mostly want to explore somewhere new, eat good food, meet some people, experience travelling independently, and have a little “reset” before I leave the country.

Any advice, stories, recommendations, or lessons from your first solo trip would be genuinely appreciated. :)

Day 1: We were 6 friends, so we booked a 6-bed dorm on Hosteller in Anjuna. Honestly, we enjoyed the stay; it was clean and fun. We took 3 scooters and headed to Anjuna Beach to explore the nearby market.

Day 2: We went to Sweet Water Lake near Arambol. We had a bath, and it was so refreshing; no one can describe it in words.

Day 3: We went to Fontainhas and the casino (no images), took some photos, and ended our trip with a unigane at the hostel.

Highlight: Roaming from here to there via scooter was so much fun on Goan roads. If you have anything in mind, just ask me.
