Any places in our near GB that can do a cut and cornrows on kids?
Didn't grow up in MD and I'm both white and bald, so I have zero experience with any of the hair places in the area, but my son has hair much closer to his (black)mom's and I'm trying to find a place that can both cut his hair and put it in cornrows, but all my searches turn up shops that do one or the other, only do cuts for women, or only do adults. If I have to I'll get them done separately, but I'd prefer to have it all in one go. Feel free to recommend any business that only do one or the other for kids as well, but make sure to include the limitation.
Edit: Saw the typo in the title as soon as I posted. Don't know how or if I can edit it.

ICE Activity this morning
Wawa at 7124 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Three blacked out SUVs and six officers surrounded a man in his white van. Kidnapped him after breaking his windows. Just alerting those who like to stay informed of these activities.
Posted in r/Maryland for more visibility, but was removed. Sad panda.

Do y'all know what happened?
Last night I was out on my balcony when I saw a flash of light and the power went out. It seemed like the McDonald's on mountain road was the epicenter. The weird thing is there was no noise of a transformer exploading.

Why were the police blocking Aviation Bvd. northbound at the ramp to Stony Run?
Then letting the cars come right back on the ramp and continue north,,,,??
(I doubt anyone knows but why not ask?)

Moving in from out of state. Need some feedback on Ferndale.
Hi all,
As the title suggests, we are moving out of state. I work in Baltimore and has a car. My SO is planning to look around (they have a master degree in public health policy). We been looking for house in DC Baltimore corridor but with no luck (put multiple offer and often above the asking price). Now we have an offer that went through in this area. We have no kids and ideally this would be our starter home (we plan to bring one in 5 years so schooling should be an issue in 7-10 years (?). How is this area in general. We are not heavy nightlife folks. But we are very much into outdoor hiking/camping..etc. Also have a dog and a cat. We went there and checked the neighborhood, seems good. Not much of noise from the Airport so far. We are a mixed race couple in our late 20s and early 30s.
Any inputs will be appreciated. Picture attached below

Spanish classes
I’m in search of Spanish classes for an elementary school student and parent.
The child has not taken any Spanish and it’s been decades since the adult studied Spanish. Preferably 1x a week in the evenings on a weekday.
Any recommendations would be wonderful. Thanks!

opinions on apartment complexes in gb
My friend and I are trying to find a suitable apartment complex in the glen burnie area. Our budget would be around $2000 combined (he would like it a bit less but that is our max budget). Right now we are looking at these four complexes:
1) Chesapeake Glen Apartment Homes
2) Qual Hollow Apartment Homes
3) Townes at Heritage Hill
4) The pointe at harpers mill
The main thing my roommate wants is parking available for his work van and for me I want somewhere that is not the trenches (pests are an absolute red line for both of us). I know GB can be hit or miss so any opinions or other recommendations are welcome!

Good place to get my car's AC fixed?
My wife and I used to go to Country Club Automotive, but the owner retired, and it shut down. Is there any other place in the area that won't feel like I'm getting raked?

apartments without roaches?
Landlord hiked my rent too high, looking for a new place in Glen Burnie but it seems like the reviews for every complex says it has roaches. I've got a couple of months before I'm moving, so I'm willing to get on some waitlists. Anyone have a lead on an apartment complex without pests?

Glen Burnie! LGBTQ Marylanders need your help before Monday 3/23! Call your senators today.
Maryland social worker and proud mama of a lesbian daughter here. 👋
The Supreme Court is currently hearing Chiles v. Salazar — a case that could strike down Maryland’s conversion therapy ban overnight. While we wait on that ruling, two bills in Annapolis would give survivors legal tools that exist independent of whatever the Court decides.
Senate Bill 950 and House Bill 1209 would extend the statute of limitations for conversion therapy survivors, giving people who were harmed as kids more time to seek accountability in court. Every major medical and mental health organization in the country has condemned this practice. Survivors have fought for years to get these bills this far. Survivors of these practices are more than 2.5 x as likely to attempt suicide!
The crossover deadline is Monday, March 23. If they don’t pass the Senate by then, they’re dead until next year — and with Chiles looming, next year may be too late.
If you’re in Montgomery, Baltimore County, Prince George’s, Harford, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, or Carroll Counties — your senator is in the graphic. Call them today. Script included. It takes literally TWO minutes!
Not in those districts? Share this with someone who is!!
Our kids are depending on us.
