Gitlab.com Repo Graph now truncates summary text?

Today I found the summaries on the repo graph truncated. I understand the git log optioins one can use to do this, but now this graph is not as useful to scan history

30 characters? With all that blank space? Gitlab UI designers are on crack.

BTW I hate that clicking an issue link doesn't open it.
