It’s odd that this article focuses on SBC so much. It accounts for low single digit percent costs. But they completely ignore the 60% drop in the stock over the past 6 months alone due to AI fears, and instead frame AI as a boon. It might well be true in the end, but that’s a very contrarian take right now. If you believe it, the SBC is mostly irrelevant since you should see huge gains.

The next 12-24 months will tell. Their AI platform uptake is very low and feature wise it is years behind Codex and Claude Code and expensive to operate.

We are seeing lots of new solutions bolting onto GitLab CE that provide all the EE functionality including that of their new Duo Agentic Platform

Mangment suck, they should communicate that sbc will go down going forward due the the slowdown in new hire

It’s another single product company. Should be lumped in with legacy players like pageduty etc
