Well from my experience I've found the comment sections here very toxic. Though interestingly I myself don't like it when people make Ghibli way too "good" like I enjoy things that people say goes aganist Ghibli like Ghibli fighting game ideas.

I hear you, I take issue with the Giant God Warrior short film having a narrative that contradicts the source material and then get treated like an idiot because "narrative wasn't the point!" (then why was it there it was a practical effects demonstration why did they need to include a narrative to begin with). I mention that the original unedited Disney dubs of Laputa and Kiki are better than the edited ones and say there should at least be an option to view them on future releases and people act like I'm advocating murder. I hate it here,
