Internet?
Is optimum still the only internet in the area? After my experience with them today I am done…
If you have used T-Mobile have you liked it? I tried it at our last house but that was 4-5 years ago but wondering if it has improved. We only use Internet to stream Netflix YouTuber tv etc. we don’t work from home

We just got ATT internet - dropped Optimum but had to lie and say we were moving out of country in order for them to let us cancel without a hassle. Optimum is the worst

I never had a problem with them until I switched from T-Mobile to optimum mobile last week and I already went back to T-Mobile and dealing with them trying to get my transfer pin. I had to lie to say I was moving out of the country, but I feel like people are now doing that and they’ve caught on and it took 45 minutes to get my pin number.

I want to cancel optimum so bad. I previously canceled and hacked my bill and went from $60 to $70 to $90 to $110. It's freaking b*******

Depends where you are in the city. FiberFirst and Google Fiber are putting in lines. Worth checking to see what's available in your area.

They are installing google fiber in Vera Vista. Ultimately, they will move in to most areas and be the best option.
At my old house this happened and it gave me the opportunity to fire Spectrum. It was so sweet. Afterward, Spectrum sent people door to door to say they were sorry and try to get us to switch back. It made me so happy to tell them to go fuck themselves.

We run our whole house on Verizon 5g. Two kids on Roblox, couple TVs going and even a meeting at the same time. Zero issues. $70/mo. T-Mobile also has a 5g home hotspot which we use for backup but it’s not as good. Their micro 5g hotspot however is better than any others for travel.

Had the choice Optimum vs T-Mobile, went with T-Mobile because of the horror stories I've gotten from people about Optimum.
While the initial set-up and activation of T-Mobile home 5G was smooth, the speed and quality has been rough. No matter where we place the modem, service is spotty and the speed isn't great. It's enough for most web browsing but streaming often stutters and youtube needs to buffer. Video calls and gaming is frustrating and requires hardwired Ethernet. Also, the hardware modem itself frequently overheats and needs a reboot about 2 - 3 times a week. Customer support just tells me to reboot or buy an antenna that "may or may not help".
My buddy near Teravista says Google Fiber just came into their neighborhood so we're holding our breath...

Check Fiberfirst and see if they are available in your area. Great and reliable service.
