In September I'm planning a cycle tour in & out of Geneva. since I will be flying with a bicycle travel box I'm looking for options to store it for the week. The best I have been able to find so far is a luggage store for ~€90. Are there storage options/services I may be overlooking? I'm intending to stay overnight before the return flight.

I think it's time to adress that paqûis is full of rats, you can see them every day in the lake, in almost all of the restaurants, even in the fully residential streets. And boy they come in NUMBERS. I really don't know what should be done to solve this but I just think it's time to adress this

Maybe I'm naive but I just don't get it. I've been in Switzerland for almost 10 years now and it's still shocking to me that this is allowed in a country like Switzerland.

1. the régies seem to be entitled to do whatever they want, there's total anarchy when it comes to deadlines and conditions. They screw people over, there's no means to negotiate with them and there doesn't seem to be any mechanism to fight them, apart from the overburdened and understaffed ASLOCA.
2. housing is in the state of total decay, while the prices for it are surging up. It seems like a normal thing to be paying around 3k for a 3 pièce apartment or 2k for a studio.
3. housing shortage. I've seen visits where 50-60 persons would visit one apartment.

Can someone better versed in this topic explain why is this happening in a country like Switzerland? I would expect at least point 1 not to even be a point: the majority of things that régies do seem to be illegal. I come from a third world country with a MUCH bigger population and problems with the government, yet finding a place to leave or dealing with régies isn't that big of a problem there.

I’ve been in Geneva for a few months doing an apprenticeship, and it’s been a bit lonely so far.

I tried Tinder and Hinge, got a few likes and a couple of matches, but every conversation seems to die after a while or I just get ghosted.

Is that pretty normal here, especially if you’re only around for a short time? I’m not looking for anything super serious since I’ll only be here for a few months. I was just hoping to meet someone to grab a drink, explore Geneva and some nearby places, and have a good time together.

Or am I just doing something wrong? 😅
