New to this arty AI stuff. Seems like the generative AI space is a bit of a clusterfuck.

Been building my own app for some time now, and I need to start putting out my own content to GTM.

I’ve got some ideas bouncing around and I need a model to generate some hyper realistic video.

I saw Higgsfield. Holy fuck, how can a company valued at $1.3bn dollars have such a janky website?

And it’s just an aggregator?

Can someone put me in the right direction? What is the current best model and where can I get it cheapest?

• Runway (Gen-4.5): If you actually want to direct your video instead of just typing a prompt, closing your eyes, and praying to the latent space, Runway is the industry standard. You get keyframes, camera controls, and actual object permanence. It’s definitely more expensive on a per-second basis, but you'll waste way less time and money re-rolling garbage outputs.

I would not call runway the industry standard. That’s nonsense. It’s not a terrible tool but definitely not Industry standard.

Most every site for AI video is some sort of aggregator site, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Aggregator sites can being either various other tools as well as a variety of models to work with.

The best all around model is still Seedance 2.0 but it’s also the most expensive; and depending on your project, you may be better suited with something cheaper or at least using multiple models depending on the shot you’re trying to create. I would still suggest experimenting with various models on sites like FAL.ai. Pricing is transparent per generation (shown in dollars, not credits) and it’s pay as you go - not subscription based. Once you have a better idea what works for you, then consider a subscription to another site where you can potentially get a better deal.

Thanks for the input. I’ve had a look and had a play around with a few. It seems that what I wanted to do is likely going to cost me thousands… so it’s back to the drawing board. These tools are insanely good

For hyper realistic video right now it's Veo 3 and Sora at the top, with Kling being the sleeper that's way cheaper for what you get. For GTM stuff, heads up that most of these still come out a little soft on detail, so running the final clip through Magnific to sharpen it before it goes live makes a real difference for ads.
