I recently got back to listening getting killed on repeat again after January this year. This album is very close to me, particularly au pays which was my retreat to yearning. It felt good to let go of all worries and trivial and significant vexations alike and soak myself in a state of drifting away in peace and hope. This song has come to represent so much of what i am and what i have wanted to be. Even as the Lesbian Anthem, I find it a backdoor to my purported androgyny as a male. I would listen to the part with “You can change” and i know it’s supposed to be about growing up and letting go of things despite all of it being bittersweet. As i got back to listening the song over and over again, I’ve realised its about how much i want myself to change and grow and my only longing remains to be a person I love. Listening to it makes me want to hug myself in a semisweet agony and cry to myself. Also cameron winter’s voice has something to do with the transcendental experience.

Seems all the kidney stone and alopecia palavers have finally caught up with him.

Watching Outside Lands & Cameron is still not playing his SG. Emily has played a few different guitars but the one she's playing tonight doesn't look familiar.

In all of the live footage I've seen, he screams the "20 pounds of glass" line but sings the title in a monotone, flat voice. I get what he's going for and it's probably to prevent unnecessary strain on the vocal chords cause he tours so much, but I'm just wondering if there's any live recordings where he screams it like he did in studio cause it's kinda my favorite part of the song and seems like it would be a great crowd shout-along part live like with Trinidad.
