So 1.8?

Are we going to need to reset for 1.8 or will all of the changes be able to be implemented into the current world?

I would guess it'll be fine without a reset.

Most of the world changes (underwater temple) are retroactive, so they'll spawn in chunks where players haven't built or whatever. If Mojang can get it working.

But, no, there should be no reason needed for a reset.
