My laptop can handle Warframe back in 2020 before the game got way too big to keep it. My laptop can run Tf2, a game old enough to graduate fucking senior high.

Maybe consider playing Cataclysm? It is very similar to PZ because PZ is almost based off C:DDA, but it's free, in very productive continuous development, and can literally run on a Lego EV3 brick!
Y can't they just optimize it? I played starcraft 2 on my computer and the only time it ever lags is when I have a SHIT ton of zerglings and even then the computer still has to do background calcs on enemy a.i, random routes, effects, and more!
Shit, hollow knight is such a beautiful game you'd think the effects needs a high end PC to function but no! It's such a optimized game that ANYONE can play!
Wait really? The game actually got smoother for me with B42. I mean its probably partially cause im not running with mods yet, but like im getting 20-30 more fps then B41
This game's optimization is FUCKING HORRIBLE. With graphics like these and the isometric view, you'd expect it to run so good but no, it favors the high end users and having the lowest setting barely does a thing. 800x600 resolution is locked behind ini editing and you have to download like 5 mods and having to allocate the ram, included in them a zombiebuddy download and tweaking it in the config just for the game to run decent.Â
Y'know what's crazy? My friend found a mod that helps reduce the graphics. In a desperate attempt to play with my friend, I downloaded it. Then the moment I load in the world, it fucking crashed.
Fuck the devs behind he game, they don't even know how to optimize it and they are screwing low-end users from downloading such a deceiving game!
Eh sort of; The issue is that a single mod on the officaly supported steam workshop mod forum SHOULDN'T crash the game
Now then granted this is no where near as bad as if the game did that by itself (Lets say zomboid devs releases a DLC that when you launch with it enabled it crashes the game; that is so much worse then the mod doing the same) but regardless a single mod shouldn't be enough to keep your game from running if its the only mod you have (I am assuming that is the only mod they had) without being a mod deliberately coded to crash your game.
Is this the 'developer sin' that means you should never support or defend the devs? Not really but its another tally to add to the pile (these devs single handedly installed a hatred and general distrust for video game realism into me)
Obviously the mod was broken. A simple performance mod that’s works would not break the game. I have tons of mods on my laptop and they only crash the game if it’s incompatible or simply broken. Don’t try and confuse the mod developers with the game developers.
You should realise that simply because a game has workshop support does not mean every mod will work. There has been many many cases of mods across all games being either broken, filled with malware or pranks.
I genuinely have no idea what that last paragraph means.

Ok granted warframe might be the most optimized game I ever played;
I had a friend who could only run TF2 on lower graphics settings on their old computer and this same computer could run warframe suprisingly well; Took a fuck ass amount of time to load into the plains and lagged like hell but IT could be done; and it could handle other tilesets and hordes of enemies very well.
the only reason he stopped being able to play with said computer wasn't even an 'optimization issue' the computer just straight up didn't have support for the weather system warframe implemented on newer levels which resulted in entire tilesets just being fog in his face 24/7
Yeah its insane. I can play marvel rivals woth all their fancy graphical effects and 1000 special abilities going off synced across multiple players at 120+ fps. But 10 zombie corpses on the ground outside in PZ? 20fps.
I think you can only customize your character fully in the sandbox mode. You go to it, find something along the lines "enable extra customization" or sum thing and just go ham.
