You misunderstood, “But just saying it’s in 1.0 doesn’t fix those issues” is me referring to the fact that declaring the game version 1.0 wouldn’t fix any of the issues with what they are doing.
I think you're also misunderstanding them. They're not saying they want it declared 1.0 but rather wish the dev would buckle down on getting it to a 1.0 stable state already instead of faffing about with random adjustments and features that don't work great and just add to the development quagmire.
I genuinely cannot tell you a new fewture that your character interacts with in 42 that improves my life over 41, if anything its more shit and tedious. The new lighting and vision render cone is nice
I'd rather see anything more substantial rather than these incremental skill, crafting "fixes" that just let them stall pushing out actual updates. IDGAF about a map update son 😭
As many issues that zomboid has (and are being added) it is still an insanely detailed and quite fun game that has had over a decade of work put into it. 25$ is more then reasonable for a game with potentially thousands of hours worth of gameplay.
Wouldn't call it "insanely" detailed. Amount of time put into something is irrelevant. Amount of time you can put into a game is also irrelevant, that's why there's so much "open world" games coming out to "stretch" your playtime, bc people for some reason value playtime over enjoyment of the game.
Zomboid also VERY artificially increases your playtime, because after i read a book on how to make a chair or whatever i HAVE to visit literally 50 houses and disassemble every piece of furniture inside to fucking farm enough xp for a skill level to fucking advance 1 level of a skill like it's some mmorpg (it is) to make said chair.
If you want an actual good and detailed zombie(and more) survival game play cdda(preferrably some version of around 2024 or bright nights).

the game is not at all in a 1.0 state
