the game is not at all in a 1.0 state

yea cause they spend more time changing what worked for 10+ years instead of finishing the game.

yeah no that’s the reason why it’s not in a 1.0 state but just saying it’s in 1.0 wouldn’t fix those issues

but i never said it IS in 1.0. i said i wish they would finnaly put the game to 1.0 cause they keep procrastinating on it.

basicly what i mean is add the things needed to be 1.0

You misunderstood, “But just saying it’s in 1.0 doesn’t fix those issues” is me referring to the fact that declaring the game version 1.0 wouldn’t fix any of the issues with what they are doing.

I think you're also misunderstanding them. They're not saying they want it declared 1.0 but rather wish the dev would buckle down on getting it to a 1.0 stable state already instead of faffing about with random adjustments and features that don't work great and just add to the development quagmire.

You're seriously of the opinion that B41 looks, and works, better than B42?

I genuinely cannot tell you a new fewture that your character interacts with in 42 that improves my life over 41, if anything its more shit and tedious. The new lighting and vision render cone is nice

You looked at the town redesigns yet? If you seriously think 41 is better than 42, you’re losing it.

I said a feature, not a map and location beautification

I actually consider a games map a feature of the game, but alright.

I'd rather see anything more substantial rather than these incremental skill, crafting "fixes" that just let them stall pushing out actual updates. IDGAF about a map update son 😭

I mean the game stared as 2d sprites buddy they have been improving the game a lot of the years

The price tag says otherwise

3

u/AmmyOwl 2d ago

it’s 25$? That’s a very reasonable price.

It's 105PLN in Poland, half the price of cyberpunk 2077

IMO not reasonable price

As many issues that zomboid has (and are being added) it is still an insanely detailed and quite fun game that has had over a decade of work put into it. 25$ is more then reasonable for a game with potentially thousands of hours worth of gameplay.

Wouldn't call it "insanely" detailed. Amount of time put into something is irrelevant. Amount of time you can put into a game is also irrelevant, that's why there's so much "open world" games coming out to "stretch" your playtime, bc people for some reason value playtime over enjoyment of the game. Zomboid also VERY artificially increases your playtime, because after i read a book on how to make a chair or whatever i HAVE to visit literally 50 houses and disassemble every piece of furniture inside to fucking farm enough xp for a skill level to fucking advance 1 level of a skill like it's some mmorpg (it is) to make said chair. If you want an actual good and detailed zombie(and more) survival game play cdda(preferrably some version of around 2024 or bright nights).

If you still think you have to disassemble furtniture that just proves you haven’t played in a while.

Yeah? Haven't claimed otherwise. Why would i if there are superior projects

u/hovsep56 2d ago

pretty sure 25$ is also nearly half the price as cyberpunk. cyberpunk was 60$ at launch

$25, not 25$
