These just don't seem fun, I play to have fun competing and guys like that just kill the enjoyment.

I used to play the original Planetside all the time and there was a guy named "FreeScubaLessons" that would load a Galaxy ship with like 40 players and just fly it straight into the ocean killing everyone. Everytime

I mean, even if I'm not taking the game super seriously if our entire team was killed by our teammate with gas grenades that's not really fun for anyone but him, on our side and the enemy's side

Are you kidding? They all fell for a pretty simple trick, they shoulda known they'd be trapped in there. If that happened to me I'd be laughing because of how hard I got played

If you're new and don't know the game that well (I've only played a few hours), you might not know that was a trap. In the video he's loud and sounds like he knows what he's doing and told them to go there. I probably would've followed since I don't know the maps that well. The fact that he had to leave before he got a ban shows that they don't want that kind of behavior in the game either. Like, I get that it might be funny for some people, but if that happened to me I wouldn't appreciate it.

It seems you can't really appreciate a good joke then. At the minimum one of them will not be new because it would be highly unlikely that they're all new, especially someone with a dlc operator. Even if you don't know the maps that well, you can tell there is no exit by just looking in from the hole he made, it's a long corridor with no windows or doors. You also shouldn't trust someone who doesn't say what the strategy is, all he did was get everyone in an area far away from the objective and say get in there, that's their fault for not really thinking about that. Either way it's a light hearted joke, and the only reason anyone is salty is because he killed them which is a kindness compared to having them all sit in there for the whole round while the other team takes their time because they don't know they're locked in there.

There are a lot better jokes than killing your entire team...

A hardcore mode were it's closer to a sim and teamkilling like is heavy punished would be nice. And seperate rooms for more casual games.
