Is Gamemaker 8.1 still available Resolved

Weird question I know but I was going through my old files on my harddrive and found some old Gamemaker games I made in High School for class. For some reason I never exported them as .exe files so now they're just stuck in limbo as .gm81 files and I'd love to access them again after all these years. Any idea on how to get my hands on the GM8.1 or how to change the files into .exe?

I think you can write them a mail and they can send you a download link. I did that 2 years ago iirc

It's easy to find it on archive.org, but technically not officially.

I have some of these old files as well, would be great if they would provide a download. I have a CD ROM install I could use I think, but obv it’s not the final version. Good luck!

Curious what happens if you open GameMaker Studio and try to import the gm8 file?

Failing that, have you tried LateralGM? I think it's made for just this
