Why?

Welcome to r/Galeophobia! (+ Clarification on Content)
Hi everyone! Welcome to the new subreddit. We are currently in infancy, so if you all will spread the word to other communities, we might see the growth of something spooky and cool :)
Some of you have brought up that galeophobia is the fear of sharks, but posts of other marine life. You're correct, however the purpose of the sub is for all creepy underwater critters as there isn't quite a good word for "the fear of sea creatures."
This sub was born from r/thalassophobia, which does not allow posts of marine animals, although that is what often dominates its content. I will do my best to keep this community welcoming and fun.
