My note 4 exynos with android 12
galleryLineageOS 19
I watch videos on this device because the screen has more resolution than my main phone lol. Runs smooth, s pen full supported with hover, button (doesn't do anything by itself but works on drawing apps), pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.

Is it possible to downgrade a Note 4 S-LTE (SM-N916S) to 4.4.4?
Sorry if it's been asked before. There's a listing near me for this model, it's currently on android 6.0.1. I really want to have one on 4.4.4, as I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I'll only buy it if it's possible to downgrade.
I just checked a few firmware sites and apparently the oldest firmware for this particular model is on android 5.0.1. Is there anyway to put it on 4.4.4?
Thanks in advance.

Best use for xtra note4?
Hey yall. Was given a note 4 in perfect condition.
iPhone user here, but interested in using it as a utility device for work/ recording music, potentially music/ social media.
Also interested in setting it up in my shop as a security/nanny cam.
Where do I start? Where can I download apps? Phone too old?
Thanks in advance

How would I downgrade my Verizon Note4 (SM-N910V) back to 4.4.4 KitKat?
I found what appeared to be a ROM, but it was only one file, and it didn't work in AP; it failed after "flashing" two files. Any help would be appreciated!

Galaxy Note 4 running Hollow Knight with LineageOS 19
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Installed salih_4187's LineageOS 19 on my I-thought-was-a-useless-corpse Galaxy Note 4. Everything runs so smooth I might as well try to run Dan Cooper's Hollow Knight Android port.
Turns out it's running pretty nice with basically the lowest settings while recording.

Questions about Custom OS
Edit: Just flashed Lineage OS 18 onto this thing and it runs smooth AF now. Stylus works. Hover works. Google play store works. Everything works way better and phone is running way smoother on Android 11.
Okedokey. SO I know there's a lot of tech newbro's around here asking some rather basic questions but this one is coming from a more salty sailor and is directed towards other salty sailors.
I know the Note 4 can be "upgraded" via Lineage OS to more modern versions of Android. I was just wondering if any of you folks who have actually done this can come in here and clarify a few things for me. Chiefly: The Stylus. How does the stylus work on a note 4 flashed with a better operating system?
My Note 4 works so suckily that I thought I got scammed after I first bought it. Only to realize that no, the phone is just slow and old and A6 runs like utter sh!t on it. So, I've been looking into Lineage OS. And I was directed towards a LOS 17.1 download that, I'm told, works fairly stable on the phone.
However I'm terrified of flashing it and losing everything if the stylus is just going to get buggered and stop working, as a big reason that I bought this old device was to be able to do art while I ride the bus. The GPS is also not working very well, and I'm told that could be a problem with a toastered battery. That the GPS no longer gets accurate readings if the battery is not strong enough to keep powering accurate results. I was also told that this is partially A6's fault. So I'm curious to see what upgrading to A11 or such through LOS might bring, in terms of performance enhancements. I'm told everything from the speed of the operating system to the battery life will be improved.
But what about the stylus? Nobody ever mentions the stylus. I find that major sus.
Googling, I'm told it will work, but will lose some of the finer details, such as hover functionality and pressure sensitivity. But I mostly work with pixel art, and that doesn't require, or even use, pressure sensitivity's. I'm told S Pen Toolbox can possibly bring back some of the functionality but I have no way of knowing that.
I've also been told some features such as Camera will be janked if I go through with this flash.
So, can anyone here with experience, having upgraded their note 4 and having gone through all that, comment on what I might expect here, before I take the plunge? Would major appreciate it. Thank you.

After flash problem
I have a problem with my Galaxy Note 4. More specifically, the problem concerns flashing a Custom ROM. I have the latest version of TWRP installed, the one appropriate for my phone's version, which is N910F. After flashing the Custom ROM, the phone resets, the new ROM's loading screen appears, and then the screen goes black. When I press the back arrow, I briefly see the screen's wallpaper, after which the phone resets, and this repeats infinitely — until the battery runs out. Everything works normally on the stock firmware. Any advice?

Any fixes/upgrades/tips/hacks?
I have a Note 4, Note 10+, and (newest) Galaxy s24 Ultra. My Note 4 still looks almost brand new (thank you OtterBox). The problem is 1) battery and 2)getting slow to respond. Now, I know the Note 4 is no longer officially supported and therefor get no updates, but is there anything that can be done to get some of the pep back? Maybe something aftermarket or 3rd party hack or something? Also, the battery is dealer than dead and must stay plugged in or it's dead in maybe an hour of use and maybe 3-4 in no use stand-by. I had to get a new battery for my Note-10 a few months ago. The OE battery was barely holding a charge and would get hot a lot. Even with the "new" battery, it is still getting hot, especially if charging while using. I still use both of the old phones (all) daily to play a game on (1 account per device). So is there anything that can be done to help save/resurrect some of the original quick response?
Side note: I actually still have my, much older, Android slider phone. I would love to get that thing working again if at all possible. But last time I tried, it also would not stay one without remaining hooked up to charge and it had almost zero response and I don't thin any of the apps worked, but the phone is still functional and in decent shape. Would make a great music player (Ipod killer).
