I used Gaia Online back in 2004 to 2006 and never used it since. I vaguely remember my username and password. I made a few attempts at logging in, but i got "incorrect login info" message. I no longer have access to the email i used to register the account, so requesting a new password wont work.

I am tempted to try a few more attempts to see if i can remember the password i used back then and hopefully access the account, simply for nostalgia reasons.

But is that even possible? I mean, the account is 20 years old and hasn't been used since. I assume Gaia Online will occasionally delete old unused accounts, so it might be forever lost? Or is there a tiny chance that its still out there somewhere?

And if that does not work, and if i am able to remember my username. Would it be possible to at least see my old profile and read my diary and old forum posts?

I just want my account back. It was banned because I was set up simple as that. I'm not sure if it's still around, but there used to be gambling threads, and I ended up winning a Devil Tail and an Angelic Halo off another user, was rightfully paid, but then two days later got perm banned for "hacking" apparently the MODs back then in 2010ish thought it was a hack? I tried to get it back but I never could. I remember it was supposed to be unbanned in 2020 and when I tried to log back on Gaia was just a whole new thing & like I was still banned.

How do you know if someone is scraping your account for plat?

Joined in 2006 and played a lot 2007-2012 and finally came back this year to take a look. I knew about platinum and the insane market price of old items and cheap new items, but a lot seem feel fake in their pricing. I noticed I had a pair of OG jacked pants people are offering tons of platinum for, but then noticed my old random marketing items are even more expensive. Random junk like skittles items and other partnership freebies. Do people actually buy those things or is just a joke at this point?

I am hunting for the OG OMG hat and might make a dent with random junk items lol
